Hi,

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Ytech International

I submitted this page for review, but it was declined because of copyrighted information. All the work was original, so I'm wondering what was copyrighted so I can rectify and submit again. Thanks!

Hi,

My recent submission Hawkins\Brown has been deleted.

I am new to Wikipedia and try to maneuver myself through the jungle of how to get some assistance. Can you give me some guidelines of how to edit the article? Since the article has been deleted shall I start again. Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Hawkins\Brown https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Clairecurtice

It was deleted as a copyright violation, so best to start again and use your own words rather than copying from other sources.--ukexpat (talk) 16:04, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

On your page about love addiction, you cited me as the creator of the term and concept, see footnore 21, "The Ambivalent Love Addict." But when I submitted an article about the same you accused me of plagiarism. How can we straighten this out. Here is the article. I have proof that I own the copyright.

collapsing draft article content

Ambivalent Love Addicts vacillate between love addiction and love avoidance. They crave love, but they also fear it. This term was created in 2004 and donated to Love Addicts Anonymous.

Characteristics of the Ambivalent Love Addict.

▪ Ambivalent Love Addicts (ALAs) crave love, but they also fear it.

▪ They may avoid intimacy altogether by obsessing about love through romantic fantasies about unavailable people.

▪ They may only get involved and obsess about emotionally unavailable people.

▪ They may become addicted through romantic affairs rather than committed relationships.

▪ They may become addicted to people and then sabotage the relationships when their fear of intimacy comes up.

▪ They often initiate relationships with more than one person at the same time in order to avoid moving to a deeper level with any one person, and then become addicted to the whole group.

▪ They may break up and make up over and over again in the same relationship and become addicted to this pattern.

▪ They may sexualize relationships to such a degree that emotional intimacy is non-existent, and then become addicted to either the sex or the relationship—often both.

▪ No matter how addicted they are, they cannot commit to the future. They live in the moment.

▪ ALA's can love, commit, obsess, and even become addicted; however this will go hand in hand with avoidance tactics, like a difficulty with affection and opening up emotionally. They are there, and they are not there. They come close, and then move away. They let other things outside of the relationship get in the way, i.e., hobbies, work, friends, lovers, addictions—anything. They just cannot open up to a deeper level of emotional intimacy, and yet they are unable to let go of the relationship.

Please follow the process described at WP:IOWN to release copyright appropriately. Even if appropriate permission is granted, the tone of the material may not be appropriate for Wikipedia. As you were previously advised at the Help Desk, you cannot copyright a term, although the text describing it could be copyrightable.--ukexpat (talk) 01:37, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

I think this article might have fallen through the cracks, just wanted to check in to see if it is was still in the process of being approved for publication.

I think it is up to good standards, hope you think so too! Let me know if there is something I can do to make it better though.

Thanks and looking forward,

Ben

It's still in the queue, it will be checked in turn. The fact it is still there means there is no obvious fundamental problem. Rankersbo (talk) 10:03, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Rankersbo (talk).
