[edit]

From 3 sources coming from the official website, I already limited its dependent sources into 1. And the rest is all independent sources now. Please check it. Hoping it'll be accepted now. (FilLagCal (talk) 01:09, 23 June 2013 (UTC))[reply]

Hello,

Please help me about providing offline sources available in scanned pdf format, printed books (non ISBN) and news-paper articles.

Regards Avinendra (talk) 06:48, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:REFB for how to add references. Note that scanning material in order to present it in PDF format is not normally useful; and that books published without ISBNs in the last fifty years are unlikely to be reliable sources. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 17:04, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Help Desk :)

my article has been declined as I am not very good at this yet

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:DianeSunshineCoast/sandbox

I have done research on wikipedia to improve the article and I have added more information - but some of the reference links have gone wonky and I do not know how to fix this. I would really like to resubmit this article for consideration - can anyone give me more feedback on what I need to do next to pass muster and get the article published.

Any help will be most gratefully appreciated.

Best wishes DSC --Diane (talk) 06:53, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I see you've used ref name cites without having first defined the ref name. Replacing references 4 and 5 with the full citations instead of the short ref name should fix it. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 09:29, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Dodger67 for the information ... I will have another go

I fixed the link in your post - be careful about capital letters and there is no space between the double brackets that create a wikilink. Reviewers have left comments about the style problems and links to further pages where you can get guidance. Your references are also not correct, see the WP:Referencing for beginners guide. Could you please communicate the issues that you find include copyrighted information so that we can exclude this information?

Notability

[edit]

[( Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Adrian Harris)] has been rejected due to notability. I have just resubmitted it with more external references. However I notice there are many actors with fewer external references than I have used. What is your criteria for notability? Is it a set number of mentions or over a certain period of time? Thanks! Michelle Meeshharris (talk) 16:38, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You can find the general notability guideline at WP:GNG; a shorter summary is at WP:42. You are free to work on improving articles about other actors, instead of trying to create an article about Adrian Harris, if you wish. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 16:59, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
