[edit]Hi - I am checking on the status of an article I created for David C. Levy, former director of the Corcoran Museum in Washington, DC. I submitted it once and it was rejected citing the need for more references so I added more references, but may have done so when not signed into my account, and then resubmitted the article. I am confused as to whether the new changes were accepted and where my submission stands in the review process. If/When you have an opportunity to clarify the process, I would be most grateful. Thank you very much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MAWulftange (talk • contribs) 15:49, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
- It is correctly submitted and will be reviewed in due course. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 16:30, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
I have looked at the "reliable sources" page and I see what you are saying about works of scholarship and the like. I did not see what would qualify as a "reliable source" for a gaming convention. It is a thing. It exists. I gave you their site's URL. What other possible sourse is there?
Thanks.

- Hello, Alex. It is not enough for a convention to exist to have an article in Wikipedia. It has to have been written about by journalists and other authors. If this is a notable convention, there should be writeups in gaming magazines, and maybe also in news reports in the area where the convention is held. —Anne Delong (talk) 23:05, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
--Alakri 23:01, 26 August 2013 (UTC)I am seeking help in editing the following article: Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Beverly Pérez Rego In writing this article, I followed the style I found in other wiki pages for Venezuelan poets. Many are stubs, and hardly contain any critical discussion. In most cases, I noticed that the info and bio were mininal. However, I provided an uptaded bibliography for the poet, and nearly thirty external references. This is a six-time published, award winning poet, who also has published five translations of American poets in her own country and in Europe. PR is an important poet in Venezuela, and has close ties with US literature. In what way could I improve the article for it to be reconsidered? Please advise. Thanks!--Alakri 21:19, 26 August 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alakri (talk • contribs) 23:01, 26 August 2013 (UTC)23:01, 26 August 2013 (UTC)23:01, 26 August 2013 (UTC)~
- Dear Alakri: You have plenty of good information about this poet, but the references are not very independent and they are strangely formatted, making it difficult for the reviewers to figure out which reference supports which facts. Here's an example of a shorter article that has each reference next to the corresponding sentences: John P. Allen (musician).
- Instead of profiles of the artist written as press releases or by connected agencies or other organizations, please add as references several articles about her or her work written by journalists or other authors in news reports, reviews, magazines or books. Since this is an award winning poet, once proper references have been included, the article will be accepted, so please continue to work on it. —Anne Delong (talk) 02:24, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
I rescued this article from the old abandoned drafts. It is declined for lack of notability. I thought that towns were considered notable as long as they could be shown to exist. This one has even had a study done about it because it is a planned community. What more needs to be done here?
Also, I was surprised that the latest decline template did not include a link to this help page, which the older ones did. Is this happening to everyone? —Anne Delong (talk) 22:04, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
- The article says that Bumi Serpong Damai is located in Tangerang, a city in Indonesia. So it seems to me that Bumi Serpong Damai is not a "town" per se, but more like a neighborhood or (very large) subdivision. Howicus (talk) 20:10, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
- Well, I guess it's up to me to find out. —Anne Delong (talk) 20:21, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
