[edit]Review of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/EFILM
[edit]Hi,
I'm trying to get an article published Wikipedia talk:Articles for Creation/EFILM and was told by two editors that my submission wasn't "adequately supported by reliable, independent sources." I provided a listing of feature film titles from IMdb, hoping that would suffice, but it's apparently not enough. Did I not cite them properly? If not, could you advise on how I should? Also, there are no additional sources for the rest of the information in the article. All of it - save for the feature film titles - is listed only on the EFILM website: www.efilm.com. Please advise me on what my next steps should be.
Thanks much! JeremyJeremymonsayac (talk) 00:09, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
- The citation is correct in a technical sense, but IMDb is not considered a source that helps to establish the subjects notability. You can use it as a basic fact reference, but because profiles are easy to get and make, they don't establish importance as far as we are concerned. The EFILM website is another that can be used to cite facts, but because it is a primary source it, again, doesn't help to establish notability. Now, as stated by the reviewer, all articles must be backed up by multiple reliable, independent sources so your next step should be a search for those. Has this company been mentioned in articles about the movies they've worked in? Have they been profiled in magazines or newspapers? Those are generally what you are looking for. Hi, I'll like to know why the sources in this article are not considered verifiable? The sources used were extracted from published articles in national newspapers (in this case, Singapore & Brunei). - I think what the reviewer meant to say, is that the sources listed do not appear to be sufficient to establish the notability of the company. Pol430 talk to me 22:40, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

- I've gone ahead and cleanup up the article a bit...is that better? Now, please note that all articles need to be supported by multiple reliable, independent sources and right now your submission doesn't contain any. Unless those are added, your submission won't be accepted :( Nolelover Talk·Contribs 02:13, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

It appears your article has only been reviewed once on 18 March. It is currently in the submitted list. :- ) DCS 22:59, 21 March 2012 (UTC)- Now it has been reviewed. I guess that was a review/edit conflict. :- ) DCS 23:02, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
- I have just this minute re-reviewed. I declined again unfortunately, my rationale is explained therein. Also, as this article has been previously deleted via Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dogeared it's creation may need to be discussed at WP:DRV. Pol430 talk to me 23:03, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
