[edit]I have been trying to submit an article called Tatiana Alyoshina. It's about an outstanding Russian graphic artist. She died in 1981. The article keeps being removed on grounds that it doesn't comply with data for biographies of living people. But she is dead!! What should I do? Thank you for your assistance FlorenciaD (talk) 04:43, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- A comment has been left in your article that WP:BLP does not apply. We still need more than one independent reference. The one given is not really independent, but considering your article is not about a living person, we still need at least one totally independent and reliable. Thanks for your efforts. :- ) Don 07:58, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
add link to website
[edit]Good morning :-)
I just created a Wikipedia page for Roberto Obregon. This is the first time that have have created a Wikipedia page and I could not figure out how to list an external link at the bottom of the page. I would like to add his personal website link, robertoobregonmusic.com, at the bottom. How do I go about doing this?
Thank you. Have an awesome day!

- To be honest, that is the least of your problems at the moment. You should really concentrate on getting your draft article ready for approval. You need to show that your article has been written using independent, reliable sources so we can (1) verify the information is true (2) confirm that the subject is widely known and suitable for Wikipedia. At least list your sources at the bottom of your article, preced each of them with a * (which will create a bulleted list). Sionk (talk) 13:48, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- To add an external link, encase the URL and a description in square brackets: [http://en.wikipedia.org Wikipedia] will produce an external link to Wikipedia itself. More help on links is availab le at Help:Link. As Sionk said, independent sources are more important than his personal website. Huon (talk) 15:07, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
Review of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Toonz
[edit]There are some good source for this article here. Isn't the standard too high to decline article? Block this article's creation completely? It's ok if the article isn't finished top at the minute of creation! the community improves articles over time, it's not all the burden of the original creator. It's possible someone later may come by and either source, or delete a certain phrase that may not be sourced, but that doesn't mean the whole article should not exist.
I worry a bit about the process since it seems (and I may be misunderstanding the process here, but it's not clear in the documentation) that a single reviewer can block an article, which means that this immediately turn into an emotional duel. How do multiple reviewers weight in? --lucericr (talk) 14:28, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- Reviewers here will normally accept an article when it stands some chance of remaining in Wikipedia's main article space without being quickly deleted. Articles need to be verifiable but they also need to clearly show that the subject is notable enough for Wikipedia. To belive that the subject is 'notable' we need to see some evidence of multiple, reliable (i.e. journalistic/expert standard) published sources that are independent of the subject and talk about the subject in some depth (see also the 'golden rule'). Unfortunately neither can I see evidence of that in your article at the moment. The PR Newswire links are to press releases, therefore primary sources and not counting towards the 'notability' of Toonz. The only news article, in La Republica, is about one of the animations and doesn't mention Toonz at all, as far as I can see. The reviewer was correct to decline your article at this point in time.
