In order to ensure that a page for a character featured in media relating to 20th Century Studios, 20th Television, Blue Sky Studios, Searchlight Pictures and its other divisions and subsidiaries qualify for their own Wikipedia article, the following are some of the criteria that must be met as followed:
- The character is notable for inclusion on Wikipedia - a character must be popular enough and show significant coverage backed up by many reliable sources.
- Enough references can be found covering the character - if you don't know for certain if a character is notable or not, do some research. If their widely reported on, then you shouldn't have to do too much research.
- They've left a big impact - whether it be a group of people, some some sort of society, or at least somewhere around the world that they've made some kind of an influence towards.
- Don't go too much in-depth into the character's background, story or lore surrounding them - going into too much into the storylines that revolve around the character can distract the reader from some of the more important details.
- Bring up how certain people may react to certain aspects of them - chances are if a character is ready for inclusion on Wikipedia, then the public will have some kind of view from their perspective of them. Be sure to include their admirable or redeeming qualities as well as some of their flaws, and how critics may sympathize or relate to them in the Reception section of their article.
- Adding images that fit with the topic and don't contain copyright violations - this is also something to keep in mind when creating an article for a character on Wikipedia. You should always make sure that the image you're using on the page not only makes sense with the context of the text of the article, but to also make sure that it doesn’t break Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons' guidelines.
