The institution

Kunstverein (Milan) is an experimental platform that began as a research project and production of contemporary art and is part of an international network of "Kunstverein franchises" based in Amsterdam and New York.

History of collaboration

The collaboration of Kunstverein (Milan) with Wikipedia began in June 2011, following its participation in the project " Share Your Knowledge. Kunstverein (Milan) has made available the text the website Kunstverein.it under the CC BY-SA which Wikipedia adopts as well. The entry of Kunstverein (Milano) into Share Your Knowledge is part of a stage of the long-term project Open Ended^[1], a platform for research in the field of visual arts that revolves around the idea of knowledge sharing.

Upload of contents on Commons and analysis

In November 2012 the contribution of the Association can be traced to files uploaded on Wikimedia Commons by Flaclad and concerning installations and documentaries by the Czechoslovak artist Zbyněk Baladrán,^[2] who exposed personally and collectively in many countries, including Italy, where right in Milan he presented "The Nervous System" with Jiří Kovanda in 2011.
