⭠ Last week's report

The political storm from last week is still very strong, even bringing in some new articles. The usual storm of Netflix productions also remains. There is even space for sports, criminals, and a theatrical movie - and yet we again managed to do what still hasn't happened in real life, get rid of the COVID-19 pandemic!

Rank Article Class Views Image Notes/about
Kamala Harris 2,523,180 The 2020 Democratic National Convention was a four day television event taking place from Monday to Thursday, with an average audience of 21.6 million viewers. While the real stars of the show were Biden and Harris, viewers got to see appearances from all of their favorite characters from the Democratic primaries, and even a few teasers for the 2024 arc.
Joe Biden 1,852,528
QAnon 1,379,518 QAnon stands alone as the only major conspiracy theory that's supportive of the government. Imagine if David Icke thought there were lizards controlling everything and he openly campaigned to become one of them. Imagine someone thinking that the CIA killed Kennedy but also thanking them for it. Bizzare.
Jill Biden 1,252,629 #2's wife (and potential First Lady) appeared in a pre-taped video at the DNC on Tuesday night, talking about how capable of a president her husband would be.
Elon Musk 980,785 In my skim of the news, Musk is doing something in Texas and has a new brain chip?
Donald Trump 847,079 Is seeking re-election.
Deaths in 2020 800,303 And when you're gone, who remembers your name?
Who keeps your flame?
Who tells your story?
Beau Biden 775,600 The last night of the DNC featured a tribute to the late son of #2 and #22, who died of brain cancer in 2015.
Ronald Koeman 767,192 FC Barcelona isn't what it used to be: when faced with Bayern Munchen in the shortened\empty 2019–20 UEFA Champions League knockout phase, the usually victorious Spanish squad received an 8-2 thumping! Such a humiliation led to the dismissal of their coach, and in comes a Dutchman who was an old idol of the team, Ronald Koeman, most recently manager of his country's national team.
Betty Broderick 749,527 Netflix released season 2 of Dirty John, which tells some of Broderick's story - she, played there by Amanda Peet (pictured), killed her ex-husband and his new wife in 1989, and is still in jail for it.
The Umbrella Academy (TV series) 650,441 The adaptation of Gerard Way's superpowered adopted family continues, and again dealing with apocalypse prevention - only this time in the 1960s instead of the modern day.
Lovecraft Country (TV series) 631,801 HBO started to adapt a novel combining Jim Crow laws and H. P. Lovecraft horror, featuring two Blacks, a science fiction fan (Jonathan Majors) and his friend (Jurnee Smollett-Bell, pictured), who in search for the former's missing father face both the racist South and cosmic horror monsters.
Joseph James DeAngelo 612,108 The infamous Golden State Killer, DeAngelo, was sentenced to a life sentence on August 21.
Douglas Emhoff 575,764 Husband of #1. If she wins, Emhoff will be the first Second Gentleman of the United States.
Cuties 550,811 A French film that is about inappropriately sexualizing children and black immigrants. Netflix's poster for it may have gone a bit wrong - presenting it more like pedo porn - and the company rightfully apologized.
Robert Trump 546,788 Younger brother of #6, died on August 15.
Donald J. Harris 543,923 Father of #1. His late wife is at #25.
Belarus 500,841 A featured article! White Russia has been experiencing some turbulence based on their leader for the past several decades claiming another landslide victory despite the people wanting him out.
Tenet (film) 496,535 If not for the goddamned pandemic that again missed the Report, Christopher Nolan's latest film would have already hit theaters in July. Instead Tenet is bound for release this week in the United Kingdom and next week across The Pond, with early reviews already favorable.
Family of Donald Trump 483,701 #17 was a redirect here; view counts overlap.
Project Power 480,834 While people wait for the first Marvel Comics movie of the year, Netflix provided a superhero fix with this movie where Jamie Foxx (pictured), Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Dominique Fishback look for the suppliers of a superpower-providing pill in a near-future New Orleans.
Neilia Hunter 479,109 The first wife of #2, Hunter tragically died in a car accident with their daughter in 1972. Their sons (including #8) were involved but survived.
Gunjan Saxena 459,086 Netflix released a biopic on one of the first combat-serving Indian female air force pilots (as no female air force pilots had actively served during wartime before), played there by Janhvi Kapoor.
Ronnie O'Sullivan 442,865 Pool might seem like something for college students and people in pubs, but there is a World Snooker Championship, won by O'Sullivan, his sixth title - only one more to match Stephen Hendry - at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
Shyamala Gopalan 436,085 Late mother of #1.
