Not sure about this one. It seems to go against WP:NPOV to have a Wikiproject invitation written from the perspective of a religious figure. I mean, would we be comfortable with an invite which says "Jesus needs you" or something similar? Wikipedia needs you, the project needs you, sure, but not this. Fram (talk) 09:18, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
- Keep. WP:NPOV only applies to the article space, and I find this to be a clever and humorous invitation template—in other words, an effective one. I for one would like to see WP:WikiProject Notre Dame have a template that says "Father Hesburgh needs you!" or something of the like. Brigham Young was the founder of BYU, is intimately attached to the history of the school, and I see no viable reason offered to delete this template. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 19:32, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
- Delete or Keep Subst this template on the two pages used or make this a subst only template. Given this is a recent creation I don't see the NPOV violation as Red-tailed hawk has pointed out, but seeing a test use on my talk page, this displays the curly brackets we use for transcluding a template instead of the entire template formatting normally used for project invite templates. So if kept, it should be a subst use only template and not a direct transcluded one. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 00:49, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
- I agree that it should be subst-only; invitation userboxes generally should be. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 00:27, 27 April 2023 (UTC)

Per consensus at WT:FOOTY and past TfD discussions (example 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8), there is consensus to create national team squad navboxes only for teams participating in major international tournaments. Yugoslavia were not permitted to participate in the tournament due to UN sanctions, and were replaced by another country, so there should not be a navbox for the squad. This is not the same as the 2010 Togo AFCON squad, as Togo named a squad and were eligible to participate, but did not appear at their first match and were subsequently disqualified. Also note that we do not create squad templates just out of curiosity for unusual situations, for example a navbox for the 2018 Denmark replacement squad was deleted in the first example TfD discussion linked above. - Keep - I think considering Yugoslavia qualified legitimately and were only disqualified for political reasons less than two weeks before the tournament started, it's reasonable to have a navbox to link together the players who were named for the competition. – PeeJay 12:12, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. While it's reasonable to have article content for this squad, there doesn't seem much sense in having a navbox. The requirement to navigate between players who would have played in an event, seems a bit tenuous to me. Nigej (talk) 09:57, 2 May 2023 (UTC)

Regarding the Canada squad, no other beach soccer navigational boxes exist, and the squad can already be found at 2006 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup squads. It would be excessive to create templates for every team when the Beach Soccer World Cup is held every two years. As for the amputee football squads, over half of the squads are redlinks and no templates even exist for the Paralympic champion teams in football. The winning squad information seems better suited at the competition or national team articles. S.A. Julio (talk) 06:57, 28 April 2023 (UTC)

- i really don't understand why you have to delete this template, it makes no sense. firstly, i've seen a lot of bands with an equally minor discography that also has a template like this. secondly, a overview over the discography of a band with so many singles is extremely useful. you imply that hmtld only has two and that's it (which isn't the case at all). keep. --MISNOMAR (DISCUSSION) 16:12, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
- They have to have their own articles. It's not the amount of albums or singles they have, it's about the number of independent articles that exist for those recordings that will allow for ease of navigation. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 00:53, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- For additional context on this, see this discussion where consensus says to only list items with their own articles. QuietHere (talk | contributions) 01:31, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
