- Template:Calico System (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Redundant. Although on first glance there appear to be four entries in this navbox, the first and fourth entries have long since been redirected to the band's article due to a lack of sources. So that just leaves the second and third entries, and apart from the navbox only containing two navigable entries, they are consecutive albums, so they can just as easily be navigated between by using the "next album" and "previous album" links in their respective infoboxes. - Delete per nom. No need for a navbox here. --Tom (LT) (talk) 07:07, 15 June 2020 (UTC)

Unused template. Should not be created as template since this table will only be used in one article. Stvbastian (talk) 09:13, 13 June 2020 (UTC)

- Module:Target of (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Redundant to Module:Redirect, see Special:Diff/958494086 * Pppery * it has begun... 01:38, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
- I made that for Template:Target of. I suppose this edit both demonstrated its redundancy and how clunky I am as a Lua programmer. But riddle me this – does this mean that we should move Module:Redirect → Module:Target of? Being as how the nominator likes to see templates use modules that are identically named. It is odd that Template:Redirect uses Module:Redirect hatnote; of course if Module:Redirect → Module:Target of then that frees the page up for Module:Redirect hatnote → Module:Redirect. I'm being half sarcastic in my suggestion here, so no need to take it seriously unless you want to. – wbm1058 (talk) 02:05, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Pppery: It's gone. wbm1058 (talk) 02:08, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Wbm1058: That logic only applies when the module is used by only one template or a family of closely related templates. Module:Redirect is invoked by 120 different templates and 38 different modules (!), so a rename to match one template is not feasible in this case, especially since Module:Redirect is a general-purpose module about redirects and not specific to getting their targets. There's kind of an unfortunate naming convention clash in that Template:Redirect exists and is mostly unrelated to Module:Redirect. If I felt inclined to clean that up, I would probably do it the other way and RM Template:Redirect -> Template:Redirect hatnote -- but in any case I've given up on cleaning up hatnote modules after my proposal to consolidate them all into only three modules instead of one for almost every template ended with no consensus. * Pppery * it has begun... 02:28, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
