[edit]- The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the template below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the template's talk page or in a deletion review).
The result of the discussion was redirect to {{ICC Cricketer of the Year}}, which was created as a solution to the issues contained in the four templates. (non-admin closure) Primefac (talk) 03:47, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
Do we really need a template for this? I would say it is not notable, and it almost feels just like an unneeded display of flags, but even without flags I would say not notable. Qed237 (talk) 23:28, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
- Comment {{ICC Test cricketer of the year}}, {{ICC ODI player of the year}}, {{ICC T20 performance of the year}} and {{ICC Cricketer of the Year}} should be clubbed into a single template. Chris8924 (talk) 02:43, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Chris8924: Feel free to nominate those as well, I just came across this when looking at sockmaster SWASTIK 25 and thought it was a good start to see if anyone opposes. I am sure there are other templates to put up as well. Qed237 (talk) 11:14, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
- Comment – Please note that the creator of this template has been shopping for comments at talkpage of different editors. Qed237 (talk) 15:31, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
- My view is that, ICC Team of each year is one part of a thing that give an idea about the quality and performance of each player that is selected for the team. So, I think, adding that template to those who selected in each year is just like that naming the ODI squad for each team in every edition of a world cup. So, if we can create squads of teams participating to world cups, we also can create ICC Test and ODI team of each year. No need to delete. I do not see any wrong about that. Gihan Jayaweera (talk) 09:21, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
- Keep. The only things wrong with it are that it needed a line break to improve its presentation and it should be capitalised because it is an annual title. It is also a prestigious annual title, generally recognised throughout the sport, so the argument that it is not notable simply doesn't hold water. It is the content that must be notable, not the template. The template is a desirable addition to the articles of the players who have won the title. Jack | talk page 15:09, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
- Keep It should be improved instead of deleting.--MusaTalk ☻ 17:22, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
- Comment I have created a new template which is better than all these templates. See {{ICC Cricketer of the Year Award}}.--MusaTalk ☻ 20:29, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
- Ah, yes. Well done, Musa. I think we should redirect the three current templates to this new one which should be deployed in all articles to which it links. Jack | talk page 21:25, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
- I have redirected all the four templates to {{ICC Cricketer of the Year Award}}. Chris8924 (talk) 09:08, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks, Chris. Closing admin, please finalise this discussion as a redirect by consensus. Jack | talk page 09:13, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

Propose merging Template:Sled dogs with Template:Spitz.
Template:Sled dogs is completely covered by the Sled dogs group of Template:Spitz. This template should be merged into the latter. Cavalryman V31 (talk) 20:52, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

Gavin Brown Award has been deleted at AfD, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gavin Brown Award. This navbox now fails WP:NAVBOX #4 as it doesn't have an article about the subject. Jenks24 (talk) 13:07, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

The result of the discussion was delete {{mls}}. Redirect {{MLstation}} to {{tram}}. (non-admin closure) Primefac (talk) 03:58, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

- Template:Mls (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
These templates are no longer needed as pages about MCR Metrolink stops have adopted the "x tram stop" naming convention. The second template is additionally confusable with the Major League Soccer template and should redirect there. <<< SOME GADGET GEEK >>> (talk) 00:00, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
