- Template:- (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Redundant to either {{Clear}} (usually) or {{Break}} (or plain <br>
) - suggest redirecting. Alakzi (talk) 23:33, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- It is definitely not the same as
<br>
. But it is identical to the other tags. I guess if people find it useful it should stay, but if not, well, that's fine too. – Quadell (talk) 23:43, 3 June 2015 (UTC)- It is not the same but it might sometimes be used for that purpose. Alakzi (talk) 23:50, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Keep it uses the HTML entity BR, which curiously, {{break}} does not use, so is neither the same as the DIV used in {{clear}} nor the Wikimarkup #invoke used in {{break}}. It is also frequently used. So it should stay no matter what happens (as a template name), since people use it and expect it to exist, as it is very old and commonly used. -- 70.51.46.11 (talk) 07:35, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- {{Break}} outputs a line break (or several). No, it should not be outright deleted, but redirected per Edokter. Alakzi (talk) 10:06, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- Redirect to {{clear}}. The
clear:
property is not officially supported inside<br>
anyway, as it is not a block level element. Its purpose is to create a linebreak, not create a new paragraph, for which it is now abused. The effect is essentially the same; creating a new block context by clearing floats.-- [[User:Edokter]] {{talk}}
09:18, 4 June 2015 (UTC) - keep, it has a 146,000 transclutions[1]. The purpose of the template and how its used doesnt have to be equal. But anyway before redirect, please check every use of it. Christian75 (talk) 10:31, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
- Keep - Incredibly widely used; even attempting to redirect it would likely cause server lag; it's just not worth it. Adam Cuerden (talk) 20:29, 20 June 2015 (UTC)

The result of the discussion was redirect. It is redundant (as tested). Nabla (talk) 11:56, 21 June 2015 (UTC)

Redundant to {{Break}}; it can simply be redirected. Alakzi (talk) 23:27, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

- Template:!wrap (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:–wrap (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:•wrap (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Vestiges of a pre-hlist era; redundant to hlist and its various wrappers and nowraplinks. Alakzi (talk) 18:01, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- I use it here: User:Anna Frodesiak. Is there a replacement? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 06:37, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- {{flatlist}}.
-- [[User:Edokter]] {{talk}}
09:22, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- {{flatlist}}.
- I use(d) it here: User:Evermore2. What this 'flatlist' is rather missing is - well, flatness. -- Evermore2 (talk) 21:32, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- You can use {{hlist}} if you don't want to have each bullet on its own line. Alakzi (talk) 21:39, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- Looks like a dandy replacement. Fine then. I'm all for zapping these outdated wrappers. Many thanks for the guidance, all. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:03, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hang on. Flatlist doesn't work for external links like *[http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=search WoRMS] for example. Is there any other replacement for {{•wrap}}? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:16, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

{{hlist|1=[http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=search WoRMS]|2=[http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=search WoRMS]}}
- It does! Thank you. I was not using the "1=". Cheers. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:27, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hang on again. It works, but the items wrap.
Plus, the first item has a bullet before it.See User:Anna Frodesiak/Violet sandbox and feel free to modify it. Can't we just keep the old {{•wrap}}? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:40, 5 June 2015 (UTC)- Ah, okay, I figured it out. All set. Sorry for the trouble. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:51, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

Fails WP:NAVBOX No. 4: "There should be a Wikipedia article on the subject of the template." Sporting News High School Athlete of the Year is a redirect to Sporting News with no mention of this award. Based on initial research, a list of winners of this award would fail WP:LISTN. It also appears that this award is defunct, last issued in 2011. —Bagumba (talk) 17:57, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Delete per nominator's rationale. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 21:37, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. I'd argue this is over-templatization even if there were an article. This award isn't very prominent. Rikster2 (talk) 01:44, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

As per WP:TFD#REASONS this template is made redundant by the more adequately named and better designed Template:Lega Basket Serie A. ArmstrongJulian (talk) 13:15, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Comment There are still articles transcluding Template:Serie A (basketball). Is a delete or a merge being proposed?—Bagumba (talk) 01:41, 14 June 2015 (UTC)
- ArmstrongJulian, has this already been merged? Frietjes (talk) 00:42, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
- I didn't merge it. I think it should be a deletion, I can't see where else its been used but all current Serie A articles are not using it and the only time I encountered it elsewhere was on an outdate club article (for a team that had been out of the league for 6 or 7 years). I'm pretty positive the other uses would also be outdated. --ArmstrongJulian (talk) 07:07, 19 June 2015 (UTC)

No useful purpose to aid navigation, only one link JMHamo (talk) 13:10, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Keep. It is inaccurate to say it has one link. It has four at present and had four when the nomination was made. Another link idea could be founder Edward Coyne. Another link idea could be former presidents like Paul Mooney, Joyce O'Connor, Thomas Morrissey. --Inother (talk) 23:32, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Delete - We don't have navboxes for two links; that's what "see also" sections and in-text wiki links are for. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 01:54, 7 June 2015 (UTC)
- Delete - No navigational purpose, only two links and little prospect of more standalone links (if it's only presidents that are added, a category:Presidents of the National College of Ireland is enough). --ArmstrongJulian (talk) 07:11, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
