Hey guys. It's been a really long time since I made my last update. I went off to Wikimania and then jumped into my thesis as soon as I got back to the research lab, but I want to assure you that I've been very busy with Snuggle. I've been working with TheOriginalSoni to organize a round of interviews with wiki mentors. (If you're on the Snuggle sign-up list and I haven't asked you for an interview yet, you'll get a request soon.) There are three questions that I hope this round of interviews will help me answer:

  1. Does Snuggle actually help people discover newcomers in need of help?
  2. Do mentors want to go look for the newcomers themselves?
  3. What actions do people want to perform inside of Snuggle?

I've gotten a lot of good feedback and gained some insights into the work patterns that Snuggle needs to support. I've been making some paper-based sketches of some more substantial changes to Snuggle's design that I think will help support the work patterns better. I hope to make some updates with a digital version of those sketches in the next couple of days. For now, I'm jumping back into transcribing interviews and writing up my thesis. --EpochFail (talkcontribs) 14:24, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
