Other steps in dispute resolution that have been attempted:

[edit]

Issues to be mediated

[edit]
  • Should the main article about Wellesley College contain a reference to the college shuttle bus as "the fuck truck".

Additional issues to be mediated

[edit]
  • Is the college shuttle bus itself notable enough to warrant its own article?

Parties' agreement to mediate

[edit]
All parties should sign below, indicating that they agree to mediate the issue. If any party fails to sign, or if a party indicates they do not agree, then the mediation will be rejected. Only signatures and "agree" or "disagree" should appear here; any comments will be removed.

Agree. Melmoththewanderer 22:27, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

: I Agree to mediate the issue of including "Fuck Truck" on the Wellesley page. I do not agree to debating the issue of whether the Wellesley College Senate Bus article should exist in this forum, however; that article has already survived multiple deletion debates and it is unclear why this issue should be repoened in the mediation context. Interestingstuffadder 22:30, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As noted below, I am opting out of mediation, as I have decided this debate over a minor detail has gone on too long and gotten a tad silly for my taste. I agree not to revert Melmoththewanderer's changes to the wellesley college article any longer. Interestingstuffadder 02:39, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Decision of the Mediation Committee

[edit]

Accepted to address the issue of the shuttle; the question of whether the article should be included in the encyclopedia is outside the perview of the Mediation Committee and must be decided through the established Wikipedia procedure, vis-a-vis AFD.

I will take this case, provided you are both willing. ^demon[omg plz] 16:48, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

i'm willing. Melmoththewanderer 02:11, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As am I. Interestingstuffadder 15:10, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All right. Since you've both agreed, I must ask you. Would you prefer private mediation via e-mail or public mediation through the talk page? ^demon[omg plz] 07:34, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

either way is fine with me. we already tried informal mediation and it's all there on the talk pages. the issues are still exactly the same. Melmoththewanderer 20:52, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

the talk page should be fine. Interestingstuffadder 21:47, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have changed my mind. I am unwilling to submit this to arbitration, as I have agreed on Melmoththewanderer's user talk to no longer edit the wellesley college article. Interestingstuffadder 02:37, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
