Articles involved
[edit]Other steps in dispute resolution that have been attempted:
[edit]Issues to be mediated
[edit]- (1) Should the Christianity template be included in the article? A Judaism template? Both? Neither?
- (2) Should the article assert, as fact, something like 'Judaism and belief in a divine Christ are incompatible'. Or should it be something like 'nearly all Jews maintain that belief in a divine Christ is incompatible with Judaism'?
(3) The 'all' v. 'nearly all' issues (cf. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Jews_for_Jesus) associated with (2).- The issue #3 seems to have been already resolved, see Talk:Jews for Jesus#4. all Jewish denominations - just add a 'nearly', by using the same word as the source, "virtually". ←Humus sapiens ну? 23:32, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, I didn't see that--yes, I agree: (3) is a non-issue.ParadoxTom 02:26, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

Additional issues to be mediated
[edit]- (4) Location of the section entited "Incompatibility with Judaism". (added DJ Clayworth 16:05, 28 October 2006 (UTC))
- I did not accept this issue when I agreed to mediation. After long discussion in talk and after the main proponent of the idea was reverted by a number of other editors, and after the subsection was renamed into Jews for Jesus#Incompatibility of Jews for Jesus' beliefs with Judaism under section Jews for Jesus#Beliefs, I think it is unreasonable to waste any more time on this. ←Humus sapiens ну? 02:39, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
- If I understand the mediation rules, the "Additional issues" section is to be used by anyone involved in the case to put forth really any sort of issue they might feel warrents investigation :/. Homestarmy 03:03, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Parties' agreement to mediate
[edit]- All parties should sign below, indicating that they agree to mediate the issue. If any party fails to sign, or if a party indicates they do not agree, then the mediation will be rejected. Only signatures and "agree" or "disagree" should appear here; any comments will be removed.
