Issues to be mediated

[edit]
Primary issues (added by the filing party)
  1. A user at an anonymous IP address, 98.113.143.89, keeps inserting a link to a highly contentious and one-sided account of a business dispute the subject of the article may or may not be involved in. There is no third-party account of this business dispute; the one-sided account is over a year old. Since there is no lawsuit, and no criminal proceeding, this is all gossip. Nevertheless, the person at the anonymous IP address keeps reinserting what is clearly (at best) hearsay, or (at worst) libel. Thank you for your attention.
  1. Rebutting 98.113.143.89's point below, the only citation is a highly contentious account given by one side of a business dispute of a living person. It is not an independent account given by a journalist—it is the account of a party involved in the dispute with the subject of the article. Hardly an unbiased account. But since it is the only citation given, it becomes de facto the only narrative—potentially libelous of the subject of the article. Besides, the account of the business dispute is over a year old. Is Wikipedia a credit reporting agency? Or is it an encyclopedia delivering unbiased information about living subjects. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MILH (talkcontribs) 10:08, 6 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Additionally, the points made by 98.113.143.89 below constitute original research, in violation of Wikipedia standards. MILH (talk) 10:13, 6 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  1. One further point: On checking up 98.113.143.89's "WhoIs" link which s/he provided below, I found there is nothing about either Gonzalo Lira or Echo Chamber Media or Steve Keen. So it is not possible to ascertain by original research if Steve Keen's account of the business dispute is accurate or not—even if original research were allowed by Wikipedia. Supporting 98.113.143.89
  1. I was looking to research Lira to do business with him using Wikipedia as one of several potential sources

The biography that Wikipeida provided was not objective given my factual findings elsewhere. I thought it would be responsible of me, and an important matter of ethics, to update the biography to fact as follows; 1) Steve Keen is a well known economist who authored a popular book called "debunking economics" 2) Steve Keen "owns the rights to control his name" 3) Steve Keen "owns a copyright to the term "debunking economics" 4) The website "Steve Keen's Debunking Economics" references Steve Keen's name 5) The website "Steve Keen's Debunking Economics" indicates that you can contact "Steve Keen" 6) The Whois for Debunking Economics is owned by Gonzalo Lira Registrant Organization: Echo Chamber Media 7) In vetting Lira I found that Steve Keen was involved in a business dispute with Lira that could not be resolved nor it could it be adjudicated because of differing international venues 8) Steve Keen is the owner and operator of "Debtdeflation.com" website 9) Business dispute relates the fact that Lira will not release the the "debunking economics" website and that he also will not stop using Steve Keen's name without his consent. 10) To reiterate, Keen reports that he is unable to reclaim his property the control and representation of his own name in the presentation of for-profit economic information. The use of someone else name without consent is a form of identity theft, an allegation not made by me in the entry because this could be an illustration of a bad businessman. 10) I authored a Wikipeida entry that "Lira is currently in a business dispute with economist Steve Keen." 11) The entry is factual and neutral and adheres to all journalistic standards including references to Keen as primary source The entry draws no conclusion and does not defame Lira, it is simply factual 12) The business dispute is important to my due diligence of Lira and is an important element of a living biography that would otherwise be "a vanity piece" that is totally imbalanced. 13) Not all biography entries are necessarily positive. 14) Some of Filing Parties edits were useful in finding neutrality of "Lira is currently in a business dispute with economist Steve Keen" 15) I have clean hands asking him to stop by escalating to a mediator. 16) My original objective is to make a business decision based on a biography. I could not do so without the factual edit provided. 17. Filing party refuses to leave entry intact while awaiting mediation. Filing party has no right to do so and has been warned about his conduct previously.
