I was just wondering how the formatting looked. Also, I did not supply direct references for the players in my chart. No similar articles about soccer players playing abroad provide such links. Essentially the reference is implied. You can find confirmation on the wiki team or player page that is linked for each player.

- I'm concerned that this seems to be original research and/or WP:SYNTH, because it states they 'typically defect', but the reference provided appears to be about specific cases, not a generalization; the implication is that the specific players listed left for those reasons, and such claims definitely need a reliable source for each individual.
- In addition, all articles need to have several independent reliable sources to show notability - and, yes, this does apply to lists. Without evidence, it appears original research.
- I'm sure there are other 'bad' articles on Wikipedia already, but that does not help much - it just means that those need fixing or deleting too; see WP:OTHERSTUFF.
- If you want to compare other articles as examples (which is definitely a great idea), then please look at featured lists for better-quality existing cases. Chzz ► 08:31, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
Hello. This is my first article and Chzz has already kindly fedback on content. However, I am struggling now on the image copyright tag I should apply. The first image of the school I have now made free using Creative Commons Attribution 1.0 which looked logical and I hope is right. However, the 2nd image of the science lesson which was taken in 1919 I gave the tag

which I thought would be ok but I see it the image is now a candidate for speedy deletion. Not sure what tag I should now be giving this. The last image of an airvent has been deleted already - I had it down as non free as it is the copyright of Prior's Field School. Should I make this free as per the first image of the school under the Creative Commons Attribution 1.0?
To amend the copyright tag for an image, do I need to re-upload the image?

- I see that the 1919 image has now been deleted. Copyright, especially for situation such as this, can be very tricky. Luckily, we have some volunteers who specialize in this issue, but they ten not to hang out here. I suggest you post the background of the image at Wikipedia:Copyright_questions, where someone can help tell you exactly what to do. I think you will have to upload with a new license, but someone there should be able to help. It sounds like that image would be a nice addition to the article, so I hope they can help.

- It's a good start, but there seems to be a few problems with the reference style. I think the easiest formatting style to use are footnotes. Other than that, I think the article just requires perhaps a bit of expansion, more reliable sources and also maybe an infobox if you can. Hope this is useful. - Are you trying to move User:LibrarianontheLoose/O'Conner, Patricia T. into the mainspace, or are you asking for suggestions for improving the article? For technical issues, there's information at Wikipedia:Moving pages.
- One suggestion on the article: When your article's moved to mainspace, the title should be Patricia O'Conner, rather than O'Conner, Patricia T. Also, there's some guidelines you can read about how to format your references at Wikipedia:Cite#Footnotes. I am also having problems uploading the logo of QA Technologies for the text box. I am the official representative and have their logo in jpeg format. Can you please give me a pointer or two on the process of uploading graphics as I have had 3 attempts.

- I added the logo for you; it's easier than trying to explain it. As a logo, it has to be a non-free image, really.

Just want to get some feedback on what I have so far. My friend tried to make a page because he loves a couple of the bands on the label and was trying to learn more about them but they weren't on here. He started to make a page but it got deleted, so I figured I would help him out and try again. Anything would be great so I can put this live and not have it get deleted.

How do I add the picture in? The picture was sent to permissions. When will I know it is approved, and who will add it in? Thank you!

- Adding pictures is both easy and tricky. Tricky because it is not obvious how to do it, and you have to do it exactly right for it to work, but easy, meaning once you know how to do it, it turns out to be fairly easy.
- As to who adds it in, that would be you.
- I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say the "picture was sent to permissions" I'm worried you didn't quite follow the procedure. You upload the picture, either to Wikipedia or to Commons, then, if it is not a picture you took, and you've arranged for permission to use the photo, you send the permission information to the permissions email address. That permission submission should have a link to the file you've uploaded, but not the file itself.
- Usually, if you have followed this, you can add a note to the image that the permissions have been sent, and you can display the image immediately. As long as the permissions gets sorted out within a week or so, no one is likely to delete the file. I don't think you get a formal notice that the permissions submission was handled properly, I think the file simply gets updated with the ticket number, and you'll know that only if you check it once in a while.
