[edit]Twisting the night away
[edit]Yesterday's London Metro (page 13) carries a report headed Why we are a nation of thumb-twiddlers. This is done, it says, in moments of idleness, but that's not always the case. The Archdeacon of Canterbury does it while officiating at evening service ([1] at 4:38). Has anyone else been spotted doing it on television? 5.80.190.6 (talk) 10:59, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- I think he is scratching the area between the thumb an index finger of his right hand a few times with the thumb of his left hand before folding hands. I see no actual twiddling going on in which the thumbs rotate with respect to each other. --Lambiam 00:12, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
