[edit]1975: New Voting Machines for (Miami) Dade
[edit]In the county. around the seventies I think. the Votomatic punch card system was adopted, if I remember correctly but I could be wrong. But in this video it doesn't look like punch cards to me, what kind of system could it be? I hazard, maybe I'm wrong; an "ancestor" of the optical scanner systems? Thanks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kf6_skTdMX8 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.41.100.42 (talk) 18:56, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
- It is obviously an optical scanning device. By 1975 they were reasonably mature; see Optical mark recognition § History. --Lambiam 23:30, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
I uploaded this file a few minutes ago and forgot to check the "published before 1927" item. I'd like to add that, but I can't figure out how to do it. --←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 21:26, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
- I've added {{PD-US-expired}}, in the hope this is the right tag in this case. --Lambiam 23:23, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
- That looks right, and I also see how you did it, in case I make that mistake again. Thank you! --←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 02:12, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
