[edit]Question about a new hypothetical Wikipedia article
[edit]Where exactly on Wikipedia can I ask if creating a new "Religion in censuses" Wikipedia article is actually a good idea? Futurist110 (talk) 01:14, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- How many censuses over the years have asked that question? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 03:11, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- Many, just not in America. Sagittarian Milky Way (talk) 03:16, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- Yep, a good amount of censuses in various countries throughout history. Anyway, what do you think? Is this topic actually worthy of having its own Wikipedia article? Futurist110 (talk) 03:21, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

- If the topic passes WP:42 then yes. If not, no.--Shantavira|feed me 08:47, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- We do have articles Languages in censuses and Race and ethnicity in censuses. (Do these meet WP:42?) These two are rather similar to the many "X by country" articles we have, such as Capital punishment by country, Observance of Christmas by country, and Religions by country. As with the latter article, a better title may be "Religions in censuses". A better place to seek opinions about the appropriateness and usefulness of such an article may be the talk page of WikiProject Religion. --Lambiam 09:29, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
