[edit]Write-in ballots
[edit]Hi, a curiosity: how the write-in ballots were counted, of course I am referring to the Votomatic ballots, those with the chad, like those used in Florida in 2000. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.41.100.198 (talk) 14:59, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
- this will help you answer the general question on write-in candidates in any election (hint: There are no rules or processes that apply to the whole US, elections are run on a state-by-state basis, and every state is different, but that will give you a VERY general idea on how it USUALLY happens, YMMV, etc.) For the 2000 Florida presidential election specifically: Florida only had 40 such votes statewide. --Jayron32 15:05, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
