[edit]Somerset County, New Jersey
[edit]The link to File:Freiheitsstatue NYC full.jpg says it is on the page for Somerset County, New Jersey. An IP editor asked about it on the county's talk page. It doesn't seem to belong, as that county is inland. But the odd thing is that he can see the picture on the page and I can't. And If I open the page in edit mode, there is no text matching the file name. What might I be overlooking? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 03:53, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
- It turns out that the statue picture is embedded in Template:New York metropolitan area. That explains why it's there. What's still unexplained is why he's apparently seeing it upon opening the page, whereas I cannot unless I un-hide the template. Might he have a setting to automatically un-hide templates? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 03:57, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
- That template is only automatically hidden if you have Javascript enabled. Maybe he/she doesn't. --70.29.13.251 (talk) 09:31, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
- Not sure why he sees it outside of the navbox. I was about to say that it was in the navbox at the bottom, but you found it. --Jayron32 03:58, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
- Click on any picture on the right side of the article to open it in Media Viewer, then go right all the way to the end. I surmise this is what the editor was talking about. 78.0.213.2 (talk) 05:47, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
History of Yongning, Beijing
[edit]I've been trying to find sources on this interesting town but could not find much. Surprisingly even Google books and Questia didn't offer much. Is there a better account of the history of the town than this poorly written official site? Muzzleflash (talk) 19:46, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
- I found multiple results (including: https://geographic.org/geographic_names/name.php?uni=-2704330&fid=1208&c=china) by searching [China Peking “yung-ning”]. DOR (HK) (talk) 23:24, 7 February 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks. Even with this alternative spelling couldn't find much on the history of of the town. Muzzleflash (talk) 12:22, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
