More Extras on Blu-rays

[edit]

Why is there no/no more special features (behind the scenes; making of; interviews) on some DVDs while there is some on Blu-rays?

Examples: Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Jungle Book DVDs with no extras; although Blu-rays have. The Book Thief DVD with only deleted scenes; while the Blu-ray has also interviews and behind-the-scenes. 31.48.251.146 (talk) 16:39, 7 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well, there is the straightforward explanation that Blu-Rays have greater capacity (even given the higher quality), so there's simply more room for extra features. There is also the consideration that the production companies may choose to withhold material from the DVD to promote the purchase of Blu-Rays. Anecdotally, it seems to me that early DVDs had much more elaborate packaging (special cases, booklets, etc.) as a standard thing, while BDs are pretty basic containers unless you get into the limited edition extras like statues or toys, etc. Matt Deres (talk) 16:46, 7 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, and DVD cases still have those two little clips for securing the inserted booklets and the like, even though those are seldom seen nowadays. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots18:29, 7 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Some DVDs and Blu-rays of movies are also released in several versions. There may be a deluxe version with lots of extra features sold at a higher price, a lower-priced version containing only the movie itself and sometimes a "Collector's" edition with movie scripts or other merchandise included in a larger box. --Thomprod (talk) 13:32, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sunglass

I’ve been searching for the entitled product for some time in “black” colour. Could someone provide me the link to buy this product please, in black? I’m unable to find and I'm coming up to the deadline for of order...

Also, how do I search for the different type of nose rubber grip part glasses?

The link you supplied includes an option to purchase the product from Amazon. General Ization Talk 21:01, 7 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I know, it looks brown, I need it in black. Sorry for re-stating it above. 103.230.106.15 (talk) 21:04, 7 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The product description states "Color: Black/Orange". General Ization Talk 21:06, 7 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Which I read as meaning black frames and orange lenses, not as a choice of lens colour. Wymspen (talk) 17:50, 9 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Search Amazon for "nose pads". General Ization Talk 21:07, 7 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That product is specifically designed to block blue light (which is thought to make it harder to sleep) so has the orange lenses. If if it had black lenses it wouldn't be the same product. It appears that the company concerned only makes that particular colour. Wymspen (talk) 22:28, 7 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
