[edit]Can someone tell me of any famous or notable people from Atlin,_British_Columbia?
[edit]Can someone tell me of any famous or notable people from Atlin,_British_Columbia? Thanks! Neptunekh2 (talk) 01:48, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- I googled [famous people from atlin bc] and your question (with no answer yet) turned up elsewhere.[1] In any case, have you checked google? Have you contacted the town's chamber of commerce, assuming they have one? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 03:19, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Does this help? --184.166.126.17 (talk) 04:18, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- If any Wikipedian would know it would be User:Skookum1. You can try asking at his talk page but unfortunately it looks like he'll be away for a while. -- Ϫ 05:38, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Searching on Wikipedia turns up Walter Stewart Owen and Arthur Mitchell. The article on Shane Wilson claims that Maureen Morris is "a well known sculptor from Atlin, British Columbia", although we don't have an article on her. Warofdreams talk 10:56, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
triplecrownwinners
[edit]how do i save the article on the triplecrown winners in horseracingʃtʃ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.93.49.49 (talk) 14:30, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Which article, specifically? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 15:27, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- On the left side of every article, there is a link to "Download as PDF". This will let you save the article, in its current form, to your hard drive as a PDF file. Buddy431 (talk) 18:11, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- If that's all he wants to do, another way is to open it in edit mode, and scan and save the text into a word document or something. That won't bring the pictures and formatting along, of course, but it would be editable. If it were me, I would do it both ways. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 23:43, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
role playing games, pathfinder
[edit]hi all, i was wondering, any suggestions for ways/types of places to get lots of different dice (d20s, d12s, d10s, d8s, d6s, d4s).
also, in the Pathfinder RPG, what kinds of abilities do monk players have and what is the best race for a monk character?
my DM has what looks like a rollable, plastic mat version of a whiteboard with a square grid on it, what is that called and where would i be able to get one?
- Don't know where in the world you are, but Dice.co.uk are good for all manner of dice. I'm presuming you mean hexagonal grids for rpgs/wargames. Had various of these from the Society of Ancients, packaged with games. Terrain Mat might have what you are looking for, Amazon may also be worth a look. With regard to Pathfinder, your best bet is to find a forum for that particular game. Don't play it myself, so no guesses, but try googling, also I'm sure Yahoo have some forums for it. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 21:52, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- OK, see you've changed to square grid. Don't think I've seen one of those babies. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 23:40, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- This blog post may be of interest, lots of links to various dry-cleanable or washable maps - Chessex seems to offer exactly what you're looking for. Terrainmat, linked by Elen of the Roads above, also offers square grid maps, but I don't think they are cleanable -- Ferkelparade π 16:28, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- For dice, personally I use this. It's freely downloadable, too, for when you are offline. --KägeTorä - (影虎) (TALK) 03:02, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- Your local game/hobby shop probably has plenty of such dice, for Dungeons and Dragons, etc. StuRat (talk) 21:41, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Nude uploads
[edit]hey wat is your problem mind your own buisness nerd.don't interfere if i add nude pics its my own will. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Antony1395 (talk • contribs) 20:04, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- No, you have been uploading nude pictures that other people have taken, and who hold the copyright on them. You may not do this. See Wikipedia:Image use policy for more details. It should be noted that you do not own this website, the Wikimedia Foundation does, and you cannot force them to host images they do not want to host. --Jayron32 20:16, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- It's worse then that. You haven't just been uploading pictures you don't hold the copyright to but you've been uploading clearly fake/photoshopped images of living people. (Note that even if we were to accept these images and you did photoshop them yourself copyright still comes in to play because the source of the face and body/rest aren't clear and almost definitely aren't held by you or under a free licence.) Going from Malmö to Berlin on a EuroNightLine train
[edit]At the end of June, I am going from Malmö to Berlin on an EuroNightLine train that leaves Malmö at 21:31 in the evening and arrives at Berlin at 06:04 in the morning. Now I've done this before without problems, but that was with a private sleeping cabin place. This time I was only able to reserve a resting seat. My main worry is fear of my luggage being stolen while I sleep. Is there much danger of this? JIP | Talk 20:34, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- This isn't a direct response to your question, but when I have taken night trains in the past and worried about theft (e.g. popular tourist routes in India), I used a lock like this to secure my bag to some sort of post. Clearly this sort of thing could easily be cut with a pair of pliers, but as long as your bag isn't the easiest bag to steal, I'm generally of the mind that you don't have to worry that much because a thief would simply snatch the bag that requires no effort whatsoever. Calliopejen1 (talk) 06:24, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- Are there any stops in the middle of the night, or is it an express route? If there's nowhere to get off before Berlin, then it's very unlikely that a reasonable criminal would even attempt such a heist. The trains are well enough policed that the criminal's reward just isn't worth the risk. (Of course, in life one can never plan for the stupid or the insane...) --M@rēino 14:58, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- According to the Deutsche Bahn website, it's an express train directly from Malmö to Berlin without any stops in between. JIP | Talk 17:38, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- I'm rather surprised as I would have thought a stop in Copenhagen would have been logical, but the trains' own site shows you have to travel from Copenhagen to Malmö to pick up the train. EN301 does, indeed, not have any scheduled stops between Malmö and Berlin. -- Arwel Parry (talk) 21:59, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- The train goes aboard the ferry from Trelleborg to Sassnitz. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.184.30.134 (talk) 14:22, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
