[edit]Type of Median
[edit]I've encountered a weird form of what is being called "median" multiple times over the past year. I would like to know if this is an accepted form of median in any way. If it is not median, does it have a proper name? Consider the set [ 1 2 3 4 9 ]. The median is obviously 3. But, I've seen another definition of median in which you add the smallest and largest value and divide by two. So, that form of median would be 5 because (1+9)/2=5. 97.82.165.112 (talk) 12:40, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

- Thank you. That is the exact correct name. Median is not correct. 97.82.165.112 (talk) 16:23, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
