[edit]Stupidly large numbers
[edit]Graham's number#Definition is written very clearly and I can make sense of how that number is obtained and how enormous it is. But TREE(3), a number said to be far larger than Graham's number, is harder for me to understand as it is written. Could you please explain?
And are there any even bigger numbers that are known and notable and have been discussed? --Qnowledge (talk) 22:53, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
- To be honest, I don't fully understand the definition either. It's possible that it can be explained more clearly than is currently done in the article, but regardless, it is a fundamentally more sophisticated concept which requires some study to understand.
- Anyway, there are certainly even bigger numbers that have been discussed. The study of such large numbers is called "Googology", you may want to have a look e.g. in the Googology wiki. -- Meni Rosenfeld (talk) 17:22, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
