Need info on Octagonal Pyramid

[edit]

Hello, I have tried finding all info. regarding an octagonal pyramid, such as face, vertice and edge information. Wikipedia directs me to Octagonal bipyramid which is not what I am looking for..Please help, I don't know where else to look.

Do you mean a pyramid with an octagonal base? It has 9 faces (including the base), nine vertices (the 8 of the base octagon, and the apex, and 16 edges (the 8 of the octagon, plus 8 to the apex). You can find the general formula in Pyramid (geometry). --Stephan Schulz (talk) 08:16, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
