- Remember twice the punishment is nice. = Memo bis punitor delicatum. (They almost lost their lives and are entitled to no reward.)
At the end of the original version of the movie, Willy Wonka yells at Charlie and Grandpa Joe, "Fax mentis incendium gloriae culpum, et cetera et cetera. Memo bis punitor delicatum!" These are not nonsensical ramblings, but actual Latin responses to their query, in authentic Wonka fashion.
