What Loki says at 0:29, before "They'll pick them apart.". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 157.157.90.195 (talk) 10:56, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
- Googling "my time has come" resistance "we'll pick them apart" "and the rest" suggests it's "From a few." jnestorius(talk) 13:09, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
- Strange ! It doesn't sound "from a few ", but rather "for I'm affeared ". I'm quite sure about the "affeared", not only because of what I clearly hear, but also because of what I see when I look at his lips, that seem to utter the "d " - of "affeared" - very clearly, don't they? HOOTmag (talk) 15:50, 6 December 2015 (UTC)
- How does that make sense in context? —Tamfang (talk) 01:37, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- I've only dealt with what was being uttered, rather than about what was being meant. HOOTmag (talk) 12:41, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- It's too quick for "for I'm", and I hear no hint of the /j/ glide. —Tamfang (talk) 10:48, 11 December 2015 (UTC)

- I hear "Resistance?" "From a few. You'll pick them apart." —Tamfang (talk) 01:37, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- 1. I don't hear "Resistance??? ", but rather: "Resistance!!! " (Are you sure you hear the "???"... ?).
- 2. The word "few" is generally pronounced /fju:/. I wonder how you hear the /u:/, whereas I hear an /ɪə̯/ (or an /ir/) - and no /u:/ (don't you hear an /ɪə̯/ or an /ir/?). Further, I hear also a /d/ in the end (don't you hear the /d/?), and that's why I conclude the word being said is "affeared". HOOTmag (talk) 12:41, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- I can only assure you that I sincerely believed I heard what I said I heard. —Tamfang (talk) 14:15, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
- You have answered neither of my two questions. Please note, that I haven't asked you whether you'd heard an /u:/, because I've been sure you'd heard it, because you've said you'd heard "a few". I've only asked you - about the /ɪə̯/ or the /ir/ - and about the /d/, because you haven't said anything about them yet. HOOTmag (talk) 15:47, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
- (sigh) Okay, listening again. — The intonation of Resistance is flat (not exclamatory!!!) but a question makes sense in context. Not having seen any more of the movie, I am unacquainted with this demon's speech patterns. — I definitely don't hear any version of /r/. — Loki is breathing a bit heavily; one small pant sounds like the release of a stop at the end of the word, and I suspect that's why you think you hear /d/. —Tamfang (talk) 10:48, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
