[edit]Deacon John Dunham
[edit]There used to be an extensive article regarding my ancestor - Deacon John Dunham of Plymouth, Mass. which now seems to have disappeared. What happened to that article??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:140:c100:3a10:b1ca:d970:8e47:7b95 (talk) 12:55, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- We don't appear ever to have had an article on John Dunham. He is mentioned briefly at List of United States political families (D)#The Dunhams. DuncanHill (talk) 14:30, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- Familypedia, which is not affiliated with Wikipedia, does have an article here. You may also be interested in The John Dunham Society. DuncanHill (talk) 14:37, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- Deacon Dunham probably does deserve an article (assuming sources exist to support it)… however, I think he should be removed from the “Political Families” list article. According to the John Dunham Society he is no relation to the other John Dunham or Barack Obama (who are distantly related), and may not be related to the others on the list. - (addendum- I am now not sure if ANY of the various Dunhams listed are related to each other… the “political families” list needs some sourcing work) Blueboar (talk) 20:27, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reading the John Dunham Society website linked above, he doesn't seem to have done much except sire eight children, an achievement of sorts I suppose. Alansplodge (talk) 19:13, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
aircraft fuselage remains
[edit]Since the remains of TWA Flight 800 are bound to be destroyed, will the same things happen for those of Pan Am Flight 103 and Swissair Flight 111?2603:7000:8106:C149:412:4DDE:E611:E730 (talk) 22:08, 17 July 2021 (UTC)
- We don't have a crystal ball. As stated above, we don't answer requests for opinions, predictions or debate. However, nothing lasts forever.--Shantavira|feed me 09:48, 18 July 2021 (UTC)
- Agreed, but it should be pointed out that the Pan Am Flight 103 investigation is still ongoing [1] so it seems unlikely that the wreckage will be disposed of soon. Alansplodge (talk) 12:27, 18 July 2021 (UTC)
- I did not readily find information about the fate of the wreckage of Swissair Flight 111 after the official closure of the investigations on March 27, 2003. --Lambiam 14:06, 18 July 2021 (UTC)
