[edit]MDA and Red Crescent
[edit]I read that the Magen David Adom symbol was allowed into the International Federation along with the Red Cross symbol and Red Crescent symbol with the condition that it could not be used in countries other than Israel (last paragraph of this section). Are there any conditions on the Cross or Crescent symbols as to countries where the symbols are allowed or not allowed? 20.137.2.50 (talk) 16:54, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
- See Emblems of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. As I understand it, any of the four recognised emblems (red cross, red crescent, red crystal and Red Lion with Sun) should be allowed in any and all countries that have ratified the appropriate Geneva Conventions. Of course the actual use has to be in accordance with those conventions and other international norms. Nil Einne (talk) 17:21, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
