Steely Dan - high resolution files

[edit]

Is there a place that I can buy high-resolution files or SACDs or DVD-audio or Blu-Ray Pure Audio disks of Steely Dan albums before "Two Against Nature"? I have "Gaucho" on SACD, but the others are all expensive - either out of print of imports. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 22:29, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Try Qobuz. --Viennese Waltz 09:10, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, but the only one they have in high-resolution files is Gaucho, and I already have that one. These were released on SACD, so they should be made available as high-resolution files. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 21:34, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know what your definition of "expensive" is, but Aja can be found online (used) for about $50 (MoFi "UltraDisk" SADC) -- or $400 unused in original packaging, which we all can agree is "expensive". 2603:6081:1C00:1187:985D:21AD:8E7:3FBF (talk) 22:20, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Well, $50 is getting a bit expensive. And on eBay, with shipping, they are over $60. High-resolution files of it would be $20 or so. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 02:39, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I bit the bullet and ordered Aja SACD, about $69 with tax and shipping. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 19:18, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You won't be disappointed, I promise. 😎 2603:6081:1C00:1187:985D:21AD:8E7:3FBF (talk) 20:35, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've had the CD of Aja for years, but I've upgraded most of my stereo, and it does best with high-resolution music. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 21:18, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
