Simpsons (Green)

[edit]

I have here a disc from Netflix labeled The Simpsons: Season 2: Disc 4 (Green). What does "(Green)" mean here? Wrong answers only (oops, this is not Twitter)Tamfang (talk) 02:07, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

When you say it is labeled that way, are you referring to printing on the actual disk or is it written/printed on a sleeve/case? The original disk 4 from that set is a greenish color with artwork of Bart and outlines of many other characters's heads. Does that match the disk you have? Or is it a copied disk? --Khajidha (talk) 12:44, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There's a lot of detail about the set here, but nothing about the word "green" that I can see. I mean, it is green, but that hardly seems noteworthy. You say that's printed on the actual disc? Like, your disc looks different than the one on that site I linked? If you meant that the label was actually on a cover or case or something, it could be that the word was added simply to aid in checking to make sure the correct disc was included. Matt Deres (talk) 14:22, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I mean the (Green) appears on Netflix's shipping sleeve, and on a sticker added by Netflix to the disc itself. (Netflix customers do not see the original case.) —Tamfang (talk) 00:30, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Does the disc look like the images Matt Deres directed you to? If so, the "green" probably is just an aid to making sure that disc 4 gets put back in the disc 4 sleeve. --Khajidha (talk) 18:11, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

update on Hyundai commercial question

[edit]

I saw the Hyundai commercial on YouTube again. It was for an Elantra. Some clearer clues were provided. The announcer said, "Not available on a Civic, Corolla or Sonata." Is this more helpful?2603:7000:8100:BD38:3156:669E:973D:F1F6 (talk) 04:25, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What's the link to the YouTube video? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots04:51, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the OP means that the video came up randomly while he was watching something else on YouTube. Therefore, he cannot link to it. At least, this tells us that it's a commercial that is current. Xuxl (talk) 12:53, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If so, it's a needle in a haystack of needles. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots18:26, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Tangential question: I never see ads directly on YouTube (since I run an ad blocking app), only occasionally at second hand if I'm watching a reaction video of someone watching and reacting to another (usually musical performance) video that has one. If a particular video has one or more associated ads, does everybody in the world always see the same one(s), or might they vary by region and/or date?
If the latter is the case, it may not be a practical possibility for anyone to answer the OP's query. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 90.200.135.95 (talk) 21:45, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The ads vary by region and according to other algorithms, so indeed, it's almost impossible to know to which ad the OP is referring. Xuxl (talk) 21:54, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I made a mistake. The features that were mentioned, the announcer said, "Not available on a Civic, Corolla or Sentra." (My apologies for that.) Is that more helpful?2603:7000:8100:BD38:3156:669E:973D:F1F6 (talk) 23:49, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If you actually are in Brooklyn, most Americans might be able to see it, at least. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots02:11, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Note that assuming we're talking about Youtube/Google's ads which at least the OP was, they are not necessarily associated with any particular video. While as the IP said, Google has algorithms to try and make videos relevant to the user including taking into the account what the video is, and also tries to stop ads appearing on any videos where the ad provider may not like such an appearance, they are ultimately just what Youtube decides to serve. Google does have a lot of targeting tools, and that includes allowing advertises to target specific videos or channels [1], but of course a lot of other options including as the IP mentioned, region based. For a major advertiser like Hyundai I suspect most of these ads will be targeted at something else rather than specific channels unless the OP is watching a lot of car channel ads or videos. For the same reason I wouldn't necessarily say the question is hopeless especially since these ads may be Youtube specific versions of larger advertising campaigns, although I was surprised from the beginning the OP never bothered to at least mention the country Youtube thinks they're in even if we all guessed it was the US. Nil Einne (talk) 03:38, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
OP I don't think it's that likely you'll get help here since while it might be possible to find the answer with a lot of searching, I have doubts anyone can bother. But you'll need to pay more attention to have any real chance. Clearly that exact phrase finds nothing so it's not very useful. Instead more details of the ad like what was happening and the features shown etc. Nil Einne (talk) 12:53, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If the OP could capture the sound somehow, that could help. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots13:01, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

TV air dates

[edit]

I am improving the article of Degrassi Junior High, and even before I began editing the article, it has an unsourced end date of March 6, 1989. However, a search of CBC's archive sales page of "degrassi junior high bye bye junior high" (Bye Bye, Junior High) being the name of the final episode has a date of February 27, 1989 (it is the second entry). Likewise, on Newspapers.com, this article from the Montreal Gazette (Newspapers.com) from March 11, 1989 cites the series finale as airing "a couple of weeks ago". However, I cannot seem to find a concrete source that states that the show ended on February 27, 1989, let alone March 6, 1989, and TV listings on other newspaper archive sites are not helping me because there are too many re-runs and listings that don't have synopses. It is the same with the article It's Late (Degrassi Junior High), which I repeated the airdate of March 29, 1987 on the page, but the archive sales site lists it as airing on April 19, 1987. Where are some reliable places to look for TV air dates such as this? ToQ100gou (talk) 06:56, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Is this Delhi P. Sunder Rajan?

Can someone confirm if this is indeed Delhi P. Sunder Rajan? It appears to be what the uploader intended. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 19:15, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It is the profile picture on the musician's facebook account.[2] How plausible is it that the uploader of this image from 2006 is truly the creator of this work?  --Lambiam 20:33, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
