[edit]Technical name for this shot.
[edit]I can call it as aerial shot, but I am not satisfied. Rizosome (talk) 14:11, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
- It would depend on what aspect of the scene you want to identify. Swinging the camera horizontally is called panning and swinging it vertically is called tilt. Angles looking down are called high-angle shots or bird's-eye view; angles looking up are called low-angle shots or worm's-eye view. But those are all about camera placement and movement. If you're more interested in the subject, you could also call it an establishing shot since it sets the scene. It may also last long enough to qualify as a long take, though that's more subjective. - Well done on the explanation Matt Deres. For one of the more remarkable examples of a long take establishing shot see the beginning of Touch of Evil. MarnetteD|Talk 20:18, 20 May 2021 (UTC)
- Also The Player has a rather famous opening long take. --Jayron32 12:43, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
