[edit]BLP under musical groups/bands members section
[edit]Is including table consisting of Stage Name, Birth Name (Romanized and other language related if applicable), Date of Birth, Nationality, Position/Roles column inside musical groups/bands members section violating Wikipedia:BLP? There is additional last column for the inline citation to ensure Verifiability. I can't find any guidelines on that topic hence I need clarification as other Wikipedian say it is violating Wikipedia:BLP and including such information is consider off-balance. - BLP violations are best discussed at WP:BLPN, but since you're here, you need to link to the specific article or articles which are under dispute. I'm afraid there's no way for anyone to comment on a situation without being able to see the full context for themselves. --Jayron32 17:57, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
- In general, if the information is verifiable with a reliable source and is not defamatory or libelous, then it is okay, but perhaps not appropriate for the article in question. Sometimes there are separate sections for each person (e.g. Musicians of the Titanic); preferably, such details about members of a group should be included in separate articles for the individuals. A better place for discussion is on that article's talk page or perhaps the WP:Help desk. --107.15.157.44 (talk) 21:55, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
- Understood. Will discuss this on Help desk instead. Paper9oll | Talk:(Paper9oll) 04:19, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
