What TV movie about a virus did I see?

[edit]

It would be easy if I hadn't reviewed nearly 1000 movies for imdb. I know they took a long time to approve my review, which may have been because they suspected I had posted spoilers, and maybe I should have gone ahead and said it included spoilers. I felt it was necessary to talk about the movie's significance. It was similar to what we're going through now with 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic except most people who got the flu were seriously ill and many died and eventually it became impossible for normal business to take place, such as just getting people food and other basics. It may be that's what has happened in Italy, but this was the United States. I don't recall whether the entire world was affected but it likely was.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 15:33, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The first one that springs to mind is The Last Man on Earth (1964 film) though I'm sure it is too old to be the one you are thinking of. The other adaptations of I Am Legend (novel) - The Omega Man and I Am Legend (film) - don't really fit your description. The World, the Flesh and the Devil (1959 film) doesn't involve a flu. The Quiet Earth (film) also misses the mark but I mention it because it is a favorite and I hope others get a chance to see it. I hope other editors are able to track it down for you. Sheesh I missed the TV in your header V-my apologies - facepalm. MarnetteD|Talk 18:26, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It aired for the first time after I joined imdb in 2001. I'll take a look at my reviews when I get time.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 16:02, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Is Category:Films about viral outbreaks any use? Although if it was just a TV movie it probably hasn't got its own article. --Viennese Waltz 16:33, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
More than likely it won't be. I just found out I won't get to check this afternoon. Other priorities. The real outbreak may be a factor.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 17:51, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Outbreak (1995)? I think I saw that on TV some years back. 2601:648:8202:96B0:386A:A40C:EBB1:ACC0 (talk) 05:40, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No, because I didn't review it. If anyone wants to go through my 924 reviews for imdb searching, they can. I gave up.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:53, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If you have a list of your reviews then maybe a little bit of searching could find the one you want? 2601:648:8202:96B0:386A:A40C:EBB1:ACC0 (talk) 05:34, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know how to find a simple list. When I go to the list, the first part of each review is there. Can you imagine scrolling through 924 of those? Eventually the computer would freeze. They do things like Facebook. No multiple pages. Just keep loading more on the same page.
More hints. The name of the specific type of flu is there in my review. And while I didn't look for this title, "contagion" is a possibility. "Virus" and "Outbreak" weren't it.
Not that this will help, but the movie showed shopping malls full of sick people in beds.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 15:32, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Can you not remember roughly when you reviewed it, or what rating you gave? That would likely make it far easier to look through your reviews. Nil Einne (talk) 15:58, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Could it be Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America? Nil Einne (talk) 16:05, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
We have a winner! I found my review.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 16:10, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
