[edit]Question about Asterix character
[edit]In the English language version of Asterix and the Chieftain's Daughter, what's the name of the hippie sea captain that Adrenalin ultimately befriends when running away from the Gauls and the Romans? In the Finnish version, he's called Letitbeix. JIP | Talk 10:40, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
- Is it one of the Pirates? See List_of_Asterix_characters#The_Pirates. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 15:20, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
- Not a pirate. This was his first (and likely last) appearance. He's called Letitbix (not Letitbeix) in the original French and in the German translation, but I don't know what he's called in the English version. ---Sluzzelin talk 19:35, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
- Aha, I just learned his name is Peacenix in the English translation (won't link,
because it's a copyright violation by Google Books). ---Sluzzelin talk 19:42, 29 October 2019 (UTC)- Please explain how you know that Google does not have permission to reproduce the work. --76.69.116.4 (talk) 00:13, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
- You're right. I don't. Struck. ---Sluzzelin talk 08:56, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
