Rupert Of Hentzau

Who composed the original music to this 1964 British show? — Preceding unsigned comment added by ScottoLotto (talkcontribs) 22:35, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Here is a link to the article Rupert of Hentzau (TV series) (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) for those trying to answer this. MarnetteD|Talk 22:47, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
As an explanation that the music may not be original for the show, I am trying to find an interview with Eric Idle in which he explained that the BBC didn't allow the Monty Python group to create original music. The studio had hundreds of records and believed that anything you could want was somewhere in there. That is why there is so much "stock music" in the old Monty Python shows, continued as a joke in the movies. It is also why they went out of their way to write their own music into the show. Perhaps someone else knows how to find old interviews quicker. I don't ever have luck. 209.149.113.5 (talk) 16:57, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
