[edit]Where can I watch the new movie called Freak_Show_(film) that stars Laverne_Cox?
[edit]I would really like to watch it. Also where can I watch the transgendered Canadian show called The_Switch_(TV_series) ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.68.118.24 (talk) 05:41, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
- What have you found on Google so far? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 06:58, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
- This is difficult to google. Other, more mainstream, films by the same or similar names dominate the listings.ApLundell (talk) 15:17, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
- Well I'm not sure if this needs to be Googled at least for the second one. Our article says The Switch is broadcast on OutTV. The above IP geolocates to Vancouver. So the simplest solution will be to subscribe to OutTV. If this isn't possible, our article has a website link for the series it's here [1]. If you go to the website it says you can buy or rent the series on Vimeo on Demand [2] or buy it on Revry [3]. There's also a shop link on the website, it directs to here [4] where you can buy either an autographed or a non autographed version of the DVD of season one. I suspect you can also find it on large online retailers like Amazon. If you're having trouble searching add either the productin company (Trembling Void), the network (OutTV) or some key person, probably Nyla Rose to the search term. Remember any decent online retailer wants you to be able to find what you want, so they don't generally make it that hard. I'm not sure if season 2 has started yet. Depending in the network and other factors, you may need to wait a few months to get access to season 2 on the VOD platforms, and even more likely for the DVD. - As for the movie, well again our article includes a link to the IMDb page [5]. It's maybe not that helpful but does suggest it's had a fairly limited release [6]. An internet search for the movie's name and directors name (which is on both our article and IMDb) finds this Twitter account [7] which links to this Facebook page [8]. Frankly your best options for something like this would probably be to contact them either via Twitter and Facebook and ask them if they are aware of any planned showings near where you live. If they aren't or in the unlikely event you don't get a response, just keep an eye out on their social media pages for any mention of a showing near you. If you don't have a Facebook or Twitter account, well you're possibly going to have to find someone who does because it unfortunately isn't uncommon that these are the primary points of contact. Definitely I didn't come across any general webpage or email address. BTW our article says IFC Films is the distributor so you could theoretically contact them but I'd be cautious about this as this on IMDb [9] suggests it's only in the US distributor. - Actually our article said the same thing about IFC, it was only the infobox which formerly implied IFC was the global distributor. Also the link to Facebook is now on our page. Nil Einne (talk) 17:46, 31 July 2017 (UTC)

British parody show
[edit]Sometime around late '70s, there was a British TV show (also shown on some US PBS stations) that was a parody of the sort of educational documentary films shown in school. I thought is was The World Around Us -- but that's not it. — 2606:A000:4C0C:E200:E14F:DD6F:CFA5:F319 (talk) 17:57, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
