[edit]Joe Bonamassa current tour
[edit]On his new tour, is Joe Bonamassa playing blues songs like he did at the Greek Theatre? Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 05:04, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
- You can view his recent setlists here. I don't know which of them are blues songs, I'm afraid. --Viennese Waltz 13:54, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not sure I've heard him play anything much except blues songs. Though American, he comes from a British blues musical tradition. While I wouldn't doubt that someone could find a singular instance or two of him playing in a different style, most of the performances I have seen or heard have been basically blues-based. I've watched his Live from the Royal Albert Hall and his An Acoustic Evening at the Vienna Opera House both on the Palladia channel (now MTV Live) in the U.S., and while they differ in instrumentation (the former is an electric set and the latter an all-acoustic set), the music is decided bluesy. --Jayron32 16:35, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
- I would agree with you, though it depends on your definition of blues. I would call most of his stuff blues rock, and he is indeed mentioned in our article. I guess if you're a big fan of 'classical' pre-war blues you might call his sort of stuff just rock. Fgf10 (talk) 18:21, 3 January 2017 (UTC)

- Thanks for the link to the set list. He did a show or shows playing only songs of Albert King, BB King, and Freddie King. Some of those songs are in those set lists, but it is not entirely made up of those songs. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 04:31, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
