[edit]Let It Be - both guitar solos
[edit]Today on Sirius XM radio, I heard a version of Let It Be (song) that had both the album version solo and the single version solo. Does anyone know anything about this? Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 00:40, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- Sounds like it should be from the remasters released by Sir George Martin a few years ago. This should give you a pointer to find it - I'm at work and can't search at the moment. TammyMoet (talk) 08:46, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- I'm going from memory, but a version was released in connection with Cirque du Soleil's Love show that I think was set up in that way. It may help your search. I'm sure it's on YouTube and so forth. Matt Deres (talk) 16:03, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- It could be. I found a webpage that says that George first recorded a solo with a Stratocaster. That was wiped for a solo with the rosewood Telecaster, which is the one on the single. (The original solo can still be heard a little bid because of bleed onto other tracks.) Then he recorded the album solo with a Les Paul onto another track of the eight-track tape, so both the single version solo and the album version solo exist on the eight-track session tape.
