[edit]I'd like to find out if the 2011 DVD release of the 1980's movie Heathers with Winona Ryder and Christian Slater is subtitled in Spanish, or at least either subtitled or closed-captioned in English. I have checked Amazon and IMDB as well as our article and called the library, but have gotten no info. Thanks. μηδείς (talk) 01:25, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
- Why don't you ask Image Entertainment[1]? Clarityfiend (talk) 07:28, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
- As always with DVD's it depends on which region you're looking for and which distributor it is coming from. Certainly one of the 2005 Region 2 PAL releases by Anchor Bay included English subtitling[2] and the New World Pictures release from 2001 came with Swedish subtitling. The 2008 Anchor Bay region-free Blu-Ray comes with both English and Spanish[3]. It is entirely possible that the Region 1 release from Image Entertainment didn't include any subtitling as they didn't believe it was required for the region or didn't want to pay for it, I echo Clarityfiend's comment above that the distributor would be the best entity to ask for confirmation. Thanks. It will either end up being a region one or region free version. Unfortunately, it's an interlibrary loan, and neither the listing nor the library staff have been very informative, and due to their policies I have to make a trip I am trying to avoid if it turns out the item doesn't have subtitles. μηδείς (talk) 16:37, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, it looks like I'm up a creek, it's the Image Entertainment edition, no subtitles or closed captioning. μηδείς (talk) 16:43, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
