[edit]What's the significance when the Martian Manhunter's head gets pointy?
[edit]I was watching an episode of the animated series Justice League and the Martian Manhunter was talking to Superman and he got mad and destroyed his communicator, but before walking away from the stream he was sitting by, his head changed from fairly human-shaped (except for the huge browline), which it usually is in that show, to a pointy wedge shape. Is that the thing, anger? Does his head turn pointy when he gets mad? Or what is with the head shape change with him? 75.75.42.89 (talk) 23:46, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
- Although I coudln't find a specific answer to your question you can read Martian Manhunter#Powers and abilities until another editor can give you a better explanation. MarnetteD | Talk 00:15, 14 May 2014 (UTC)
- The pointy head version is Martian Manhunter's true form (you can see both versions in the comic excerpt in the "Post-Crisis" section). As it says in the "Powers and abilities" section about his shapeshifting abilities: "His default form during JLA meetings and in public is a "human-friendly" version of his actual birth shape."—so in the part you are talking about, when he got angry he lost control of his shapeshifting (or maybe deliberately shifted to "non-human-friendly") and reverted to his true original form, which is a common trope in sci-fi. --Canley (talk) 00:41, 14 May 2014 (UTC)
- "You folk of Jasoom get on my last nerve sometimes," he said pointedly. —Tamfang (talk) 04:43, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
