[edit]Song about dogs?
[edit]There's this song that was used in the trailer for 102 Dalmatians and a track I had to work to in middle school P.E. It's a hip hop song and the lyrics go: Bow wow wow yippie yo yippie yay Bow wow yippie yo yippie yay. I'm trying to locate the title and artist, yet despite its apparent popularity, I've had no luck. What are the title and artist? Theskinnytypist (talk) 00:32, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- What happened when you typed "Bow wow wow yippie yo yippie yay Bow wow yippie yo yippie yay" in google? μηδείς (talk) 02:55, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Given the number of false and misleading returns on Google, it's hard to be sure, but most likely it's probably Snoop Dogg's What's My Name. Mingmingla (talk) 16:29, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Likely, or it could also be Snoop's source material, "Atomic Dog" by George Clinton, here [1]. SemanticMantis (talk) 16:44, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Could also be Dr. Dre "Fuck Wit Drey Day", here [2]. Really, it's more challenging to find a snoop/drey song that doesn't use that lyric, or some variation. I was hoping to not watch the 102 dalmations trailer... SemanticMantis (talk) 16:53, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

- Ok, I checked the trailer, the song is Atomic dog by George Clinton. Probably better classified as funk, rather than hip-hop, but genres, etc. SemanticMantis (talk) 16:59, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Heh. So it was just George Clinton working as a solo artist? I thought that song was done as part of Parliament-Funkadelic. Or was it? =/ Kurtis (talk) 11:33, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
Lyrics in scorewriters (especially MuseScore)
[edit]Is there any real way (that doesn't involve hiding things) to insert lyrics that aren't attached to notes? (Have only tried it with MuseScore, and haven't found such a way to do it) Double sharp (talk) 13:25, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- MuseScore is in the category Category:Scorewriters, which includes LilyPond, which is used for Help:Score, which is used in some Wikipedia articles, and which I used at User:Wavelength/Miscellaneous information/Music.

- Yes, but is there a way to create lyrics with no corresponding notes? Double sharp (talk) 15:22, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Do you mean spoken passages that lead into a song? Or do you mean inserting words into the middle of a song which are spoken rather than sung? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 15:35, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Mainly the latter, though come to think of it, the former would be nice too Double sharp (talk) 15:46, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- The former has been used frequently. Think of Judy Garland's little monologue leading into "Over the Rainbow", or the spoken interlude in the middle of "Do Re Mi". The latter, I've heard songs done that way from time to time, though I can't think of anything specific just now. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 16:41, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

- Spoken, rather than sung, words -- if they're in time -- are usually notated with "x" noteheads; there's likely an option for that in your program. Words that are simply spoken in speech, out of time, are usually (in my experience) written in italics and the note part is left empty (not a rest, but empty). --jpgordon::==( o ) 20:10, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
- Finally one came to mind: "Love Is Strange" in which Mickey and Sylvia have a short dialogue in the middle of the song while the melody continues to play. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 22:54, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
- You can add frames in your MuseScore score, and inside a frame you can simply enter text with or without special styling. See the online handbook for more information. Toemaz (talk) 10:20, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
2012 Billboard Music Awards
[edit]Is there any references (not Wikipedia) that U2 have won the 2012 Billboard MA for Top Touring Artist? I am editing some article and I need that info. Thanks. Miss Bono [zootalk] 14:53, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

Burnout 3: Takedown.
[edit]Why does it say "DAMN, VAN!" even if you don't crash into a van, but a normal car? This applies to the whole world, as far as I know. 78.156.109.166 (talk) 18:07, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Perhaps it's a glitch, or a technical oversight? I'm not sure. It's been a very long time since I played that game. Kurtis (talk) 11:31, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
Guild Wars 2
[edit]This question is probably better suited to a forum dedicated to the game but as I'm at work right now I don't have access outside wikipedia and figured I'd give it a go. Outside reference links will be fine but I won't be able to look at them until late tonight.
1. With the current market is it cheaper to buy the materials and runes to make 20 slot bags or to buy them straight out?
2. Are there any decent PvE Ranger builds that allow you to stat 30 to precision and 20 to beast mastery while using long and short bow for your weapons? So far every build I've seen leans towards dagger and sword weapon sets and avoiding beast mastery all together. I like to attack my targets from a distance and let my pet move in to attack up close so I'd prefer to keep the bows as my weapons. I prefer the pet's F2 skill to be a damage attack rather than a condition. Any suggestions on where to find a build like this would be great!
