[edit]Trying to identify horror movie
[edit]I'm trying to help a friend identify a horror movie that she has heard a lot about, but never seen herself. The plot contains the following elements: the murderer was abused as a child, had a bad relationship with his mother, unclear whether he killed his mother or not, develops a hate towards women and becomes a serial killer. He keeps a body part from each victim, and assembles these into a composite corpse, like a puzzle. It's an English language movie, probably American. Probably from the 1980's, maybe earlier. Thanks, --NorwegianBlue talk 01:59, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- Pieces, perhaps? Tevildo (talk) 02:12, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- My friend confirms that this must be right the movie. Thanks a lot, Tevildo! --NorwegianBlue talk 11:47, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- Right you are. -- Jack of Oz [Talk] 19:21, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

Song title
[edit]So the other night I was at a karaoke bar and I was looking for the make of a song. It had a male and female singer, probably came out in the last year or so and the only part I can really remember is 'my dear'. Hot Stop (Talk) 06:28, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- I can think of two songs. The biggest duet I can think of from the past year is Gotye and Kimbra's "Somebody That I Used to Know" It doesn't prominently have anything about 'my dear'. Mumford and Sons song "Little Lion Man" features the words 'my dear' rather prominently (the line at the end of every chorus "I really fucked it up this time, didn't I my dear...didn't I my dear") but it isn't a duet, and it's also about 3 years old. Just two guesses. --Jayron32 12:56, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- So the clues I gave were unhelpful. I figured it out though, "Little Talks" by Of Monsters and Men. Hot Stop (Talk) 17:06, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- Also an excellent song, for the record. Also a duet; can't believe I didn't think of it. I listen to it about once a day... --Jayron32 22:21, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

Artist Page Rejection
[edit]I have tried several times to get my page published. I do everything correctly but for some reason, mainly being references, I get rejected. However I see many pages missing references completely. One being a band using our trade name. We have a problem where other musical acts are using our Trade name. Under Common Law Rights, our band has used the name since 1962, which supercedes all other bands using our name, that you have listed. This is why it is important to have our info page published. Please tell me what we are doing wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Microv (talk • contribs) 16:20, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- Presumably you mean The Tempests Classic Rock Band, and your later submissions to articles-for-creation. The criteria for notability for bands has been explained to you on your talk page. The text you have submitted does not meet those standards at all. Trademark disputes you have with other bands are a matter you should discuss with them; Wikipedia is not an appropriate venue to assert your trademark or conduct such disputes. What you are doing wrong is repeatedly submitting advertising copy to promote a band that doesn't belong on Wikipedia. -- Finlay McWalterჷTalk 16:30, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
CORRECTING SPELLING
[edit]Juini Booth (Arthur Edward Booth) is seeking to synchronize spelling of his professional name here, on his website, and his social media pages. To this end, he needs the spelling of his name in WIKIPEDIA to be JUINI BOOTH. Thanks for your help.
- You should bring this up on the discussion page for that article, talk:Juini Booth; this reference desk isn't the correct venue. -- Finlay McWalterჷTalk 19:04, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
- The posting, by Glodawn55 (talk · contribs), looks like self-promotion. Notability might be more of an issue than spelling. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 19:04, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
When are restaurants least crowded in US ?
[edit]I'm thinking Monday-Thursday, around 2 PM ? Presumably most people will have finished lunch and not yet be ready for dinner, then. I skipped Friday, figuring some people get off work early on Friday, and I skipped the weekend, figuring more people eat out then.
1) So, is this correct ?
2) Is there any diff between restaurants which serve breakfast and those which don't ?
3) Is there any diff between restaurants which serve alcohol and those which don't ?

- A similar question was recently asked at the Misc desk. Tuesday is the slowest day. As for a specific time, I don't know. Dismas|(talk) 20:56, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
