True or false: Paternoster film sequence (comedy, silent movie)

[edit]

I have a memory of a (silent movie) scene involving a paternoster elevator: The person rides up and when he (who?) comes back down, he's upside down - but falls and stands back up normally in the cell. Can anybody give a reference to the film (1920s, 1930s) or the actor? Thanx Grey Geezer 12:10, 21 March 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Grey Geezer (talkcontribs)

I'm not sure what you're talking about.... 68.224.119.202 (talk) 19:35, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There was an even older form of that elevator which flipped the cars over above the top floor and below the bottom floor. StuRat (talk) 22:04, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That sounds like something Buster Keaton would do, but I don't believe paternosters were that prevalent in the United States. The last movie I saw using one was Metropolis, but there was no up-and-over trip shown. --McDoobAU93 22:18, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the answers so far. I did not mention Chaplin (also in this association) - however Google searching gives no evidence of such a scene. Grey Geezer 06:30, 22 March 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Grey Geezer (talkcontribs)

Putt-Putt: Cancelled games for video game systems

[edit]

On the page "Putt-Putt (series)," I looked at the article's history page and I noticed that someone added the categories "Cancelled Nintendo Entertainment System games," "Cancelled Sega Mega Drive games," "Cancelled Game Boy games," and "Cancelled Super Nintendo Entertainment System games" to say that this game series has NEVER been released on them. Now that I'm going insane, I'm raped. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!?!?

Best to not get worked up over an uncited edit. I've removed that, as well as the uncited and unnecessary details on the game that you had added. --McDoobAU93 20:27, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Please find a reference to why this HE game series has not been released on Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Mega Drive, etc. 68.224.119.202 (talk) 20:41, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Please keep in mind there was no source indicating that the game was even considered, much less considered and canceled. As to locating a source, feel free to do it yourself. --McDoobAU93 21:13, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Now on the same page, what's up with the category "Nintendo games"? I was looking ALL over the web and I can't find any of the Nintendo versions of the Putt-Putt games anywhere. So, they should release this HE game series on Nintendo Wii. Look at the bottom of the same article and you'll see what I mean. 68.224.119.202 (talk) 21:51, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Category removed as no evidence in the article has been provided indicating that the subject belongs in that category. The other part of your post belongs in a forum, which is discouraged here. --McDoobAU93 21:58, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I had to post some stuff about the same article here because no one is using the talk page for the game series article anymore. 68.224.119.202 (talk) 00:34, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If you have been raped, it is essential that you seek the advice of a health professional and report the matter to the police. Rape is a serious sexual offence that carries major health risks for the victim. It is not something to be taken light-heartedly or joked about. 01:33, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for saying that. --DearPrudence (talk) 08:07, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
