Saw a live action animal film roughly 15 years ago on TV

[edit]

A dog lost in wild Africa became a companion of a lion. The ending wasn't exactly a happy one. I think there was voiceover dialogue portraying the two animals. Anyone know what it is? Thanks. 67.243.7.245 (talk) 03:56, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, it was a fictional story. 67.243.7.245 (talk) 23:04, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thelma and Louise

[edit]

In the movie, there is a scene in a roadhouse where the girls are drinking Margaritas and a young male guitarist/singer begins his act. He is actually very good and I can only describe him as having a very long mullet (pony tail hairstyle). But he doesn't seem to appear in the IMDB credits. Does anyone know anything about him please? Thanks. 92.30.87.147 (talk) 10:06, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

IMDb does feature Charlie Sexton as "himself", and I think that's exactly who it is (also mentioned in his article). ---Sluzzelin talk 11:07, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's the one. Thanks very much for your helpful response. I suppose it might have helped me when looking at the IMDB credits if I had known who Charlie Sexton was. Cheers. 89.240.25.151 (talk) 18:55, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted contributions

[edit]

Dear Sirs, in August I wrote 2 new edits on 2 different pages. One was an addition of the the term 'apple core' as a band
from the late 1970's and another was under 'Flynn', as a band from the late 1970's. Recently I noticed that both were gone.
I actually was a member of both bands so I didn't feel I needed to support my edits with 'verifiable' links.
I didn't mention band member names as they may not like it, so I'm responsible in that way too. So, why were they
deleted and how can I insure that the info will be available to those who would appreciate it?

Thank you, GaryCobbwebs (talk) 16:38, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for bands have to be supported by reliable independent sources, regardless of how well you know the subject. Further, musicians and musical groups have to meet the standards of notability for musicians. It is generally inappropriate to edit subjects with which you have an interest. -- Finlay McWalterTalk 16:59, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

first horror video game

[edit]

whats the very first horror video game not survival horror but a game based on horror was made what consoles, what year, what kind of horror video games. --83.71.87.0 (talk) 16:47, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Haunted House (video game) comes to mind. A Quest For Knowledge (talk) 17:10, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Mystery Mansion (video game) is even older, though despite its references to spooky stuff, it was more funny than scary. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots17:18, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Also Transylvania, which came out a couple of years after Mystery Mansion. Adam Bishop (talk) 18:53, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Death Race (video game), possibly? 1976. It's not entirely clear what's going on in this game, but it definitely involves death, tombstones, and references to skeletons. 213.122.12.95 (talk) 19:51, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Death Race was more about mowing down pedestrians, like the later Carmagedon. I'm not sure if that qualifies as horror or not. APL (talk) 20:05, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I was going to suggest The Lurking Horror, but I see that Mystery Mansion beats it by a few years. APL (talk) 20:05, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Another early adventure with a horror theme was Voodoo Castle (1980), one of the adventure games by Scott Adams (game designer). This one had graphics! Comet Tuttle (talk) 18:42, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
