[edit]Guitar Tab Sought
[edit]Seeking the guitar tab for Spanky and Our Gang song, "Give a Damn." I need to accompany a singer and I can't quite make out the chords. Thanks for your help. I'm new at this. My first post anywhere, ever. 46Jared
- This is one of those rare times that the Internet doesn't have anything...I'm listening to it on YouTube and it doesn't sound too difficult, so maybe someone with the time could sit down and figure it out. Adam Bishop (talk) 13:44, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
Help Identifying a Piece of Music.
[edit]Recently I have purchased a music box (or what was left of it) at a rummage sale. However, I have completely no idea what the tune is, which is a problem because I plan to install it in a decorated box to give as a gift. I'd be mortified if I gave it to a close friend and it turns out to be a romantic song or some such, so I need some help. Thankfully, instead of settling on musical notation or strange onomatopoeia I have uploaded a youtube video of the song in question here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuAToQKxtRY. The only valuable clue is the location I bought it: a church, which makes it likely this is a hymn of some sort. Thanks in advance to whomever manages to identify it for me. - It sounds to me like "Some Enchanted Evening" from South Pacific. Ghmyrtle (talk) 10:02, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, played at a snail's pace. Maybe the OP could figure out how to speed up the mechanism a bit? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 10:37, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
- To speed it up, try lubricating it and winding it up more. StuRat (talk) 03:57, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- And by the way, it is a love song. Look for it on the internet. I tried to post a particular site here, but it's blacklisted. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 10:37, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you so much. I was planning on fixing up the mechanism, it is in a severe need of a good cleaning. Chris16447 (talk) 22:54, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

Thank you. :) Moptopstyle1 (talk) 04:45, 23 June 2010 (UTC)

Cheryl Cole signature
[edit]Does anybody know if the signature that features prominently throughout http://www.cheryl-daily.com/ is Cheryl's actual signature or fan art? Does anybody know where I can download it as a file? Tried mailing the site directly, but no response... Thanks, —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.49.61.109 (talk) 08:38, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
- I'm not able to access the site from work, but it sounds like you're talking about online images. Can you not right-click on it and copy, then paste it into Picture Manager or Paint? Or, if the image won't let you do that, have you tried doing a screen capture (ALT+Print Screen) and pasting *that* into Paint? Kingsfold (talk) 11:22, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yep, they should be able to right click and save most any image they want... I just did. This Cheryl person is using her signature as a logo on every image on her site. Dismas|(talk) 13:44, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
- It's a really low resolution version, though... I was rather hoping somebody would tell me it's an official signature that's available elsewhere, preferrably in a higher quality... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.49.124.133 (talk) 15:12, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
- "[That] Cheryl person" is probably one of the most prominent entertainers of the UK, in a number of capacities :)

Leaders of the New School - "Spontaneous"
[edit]Hi. On the Leaders of the New School album T.I.M.E., thirteen rappers are featured on the track "Spontaneous [13 MC's Deep]". The second verse (beginning with the lyrics "Brittilism organic organism skism") is quoted on this site as being performed by "The Capital". Does anybody know who he was or if he made any other recordings? And does anyone have any information about the other guest rappers on the track? Thanks! sparkl!sm hey! 09:46, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
"Restoring" sound in old movies
[edit]I've been quite impressed with the video restorations I've seen of classic movies, but thoroughly disappointed by the audio. The same applies to old radio programs. Listening to the tinny audio in an old movie or radio program gives me the same pain I get from listening on the phone for hours. Specifically, they need more bass. Is there any way to add bass after the fact, short of recording an entirely new audio track ? StuRat (talk) 20:23, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
