[edit]Download speed of online videos
[edit]When i watch videos from some places like Youtube, i cant watch them fully because the bar that says how long uve watched it ius going faster then the one that says how far u can go it probably sounds kinda complicated but when this happens i have to wait about a minute to try and watch it again Anybody know how i can fix this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by IsnipedThumper (talk • contribs) 01:22, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- You are receiving the video data too slow, is all. The most likely fix is to pay more money per month for a faster Internet connection. If you're using a telephone dial-up service, an upgrade to a cable modem connection or DSL or FiOS will make the "loaded" bar fill up faster than the "playing" indicator. If you already have one of the latter three, you may have to pay more for a faster version of that service if you want to get rid of the pauses. Tempshill (talk) 01:56, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- I run into this occaisionally, especially for very popular videos, and I'm on DSL. My solution has been to pause the video when it first starts playing or when I notice that it's playing faster than it's downloading. With the video paused, it will continue to download the rest of the video. Once it's nearly completed the download, I'll hit play. The last bit will download while I'm watching it. Like Dismas says basically pause at the start let it get a good head-start then press play. I like to think i've become something of a master of knowing my connection-speed because i'm pretty good at timing it so I can have the minimum-pause required so that the video never catches up with the downloading part, it takes many years of skill and to quote a certain sit-com character "I only wish I could teach it". 09:03, 16 June 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.221.133.226 (talk)
Older Country Song About Two Brothers
[edit]There was a song on the radio a while back and it was about two brothers who were out in a boat fishing at night. There were some guys on the bank and the singer hears a gun shot ring out and his brother dropped and fell into the water. Then the singer dives in to get his brother and he couldn't find him. So, he spends his life seeking revenge. Finds one of the guys and shoots him, then stalks the other shooter in a cabin in the woods and near the end he says that neither of them will ever be found either. It's really slow, but I can't remember how the chorus or anything goes. Any ideas? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 33kalen33 (talk • contribs) 18:52, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
