[edit]Jim Jensen NFL Runningback 1976-1982
[edit]Jim Jensen, runningback from the University of Iowa, was drafted in the 2nd round in the 1976 draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He was then traded to the Denver Broncos in 1977 and played with Denver through the 1980 season. He was a versatile runningback with 4.4 40 yd. speed in college. He led the Broncos in rushing in 1980 and also in number of receptions. In 1981 and 1982 he played for the Green Bay Packers under Bart Starr. He was 6' 4", 230 lbs. and considered one of the top runningbacks in the 1976 draft.
- Jim Jensen (American football) is about a different player, so you'd have to come up with a different title if you want to create an article. Clarityfiend (talk) 02:45, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
starcraft
[edit]Hi, I'm starting out in starcraft and I'm not very good. What would you say is a recommended amount of zerg hatcheries I try to stick by? --74.216.39.157 (talk) 07:04, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- I recommend that you head on over to GameFAQs, where they have a huge selection of strategy guides and whatnot, both for Starcraft in general and the Zerg in particular. That'll most likely be a lot more useful to you than we ever can be! -- Captain Disdain (talk) 10:40, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Hell's Kitchen
[edit]Hi to all. I don't think I've watched any reality television with any sort of regularity other than Hell's Kitchen, so perhaps my speculation will apply to all reality television -- but a particular enjoyment I have in watching the show is to see the exemplification of the type illusory superiority promoted by the Dunning–Kruger effect. Is it just me, or is it generally understood by the average viewer that some contestants are chosen not merely for the drama/comedy in their selection (in that they are totally and utterly unfit to run any sort of restaurant) but also that the effect of their incompetence of their own incompetence and how the interplay of multiple incompetent people serves to generate a circumstance of great psychological entertainment? DRosenbach (Talk | Contribs) 17:42, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- You may be reading a little too much into the mind of a producer. An inflated ego can definitely lead to a lot of drama, but I don't think the casting directors have the Dunning-Kruger effect at the front of their minds when they pick contestants. They definitely pick personalities they know will clash, especially among chefs who are by profession, extremely competitive. No one wants to watch 12 people happily getting along. Livewireo (talk) 20:48, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- That's far from true. MasterChef Australia was a ratings super-bonanza, the final night recording one of the three highest ratings in the history of Australian television. The contestants were all so nice to each other, it was sometimes almost sickening (no, not quite). But they all seemed to form very strong bonds, and were upset when any of their friends were eliminated. The viewers most definitely warmed to this novel approach; and the producers were very happy indeed. -- JackofOz (talk) 00:02, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- I certainly would like to see TV reality shows that are fair contests without all the yelling, abuse, and crying that some shows seem to feel is necessary. When that crap starts, I change the channel. StuRat (talk) 17:55, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
- I wonder why there were so many bartenders on Big Brother? Pepso2 (talk) 20:12, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'm guessing it is because bartenders and waitresses can easily come back to their jobs or find the smae ones easily.
When Hannah Montana Will End
[edit]When will Hannah Montana end its run on Disney Channel? Ericthebrainiac (talk) 22:51, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- When Disney stops showing episodes of Hannah Montana. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. Do not ask for us to predict future events. As for when NEW episodes will end - the following season is the last season and the exact dates for each episode have not been scheduled. -- kainaw™ 22:53, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- It seems a little hypocritical to tell someone we can't predict future events and then tell them that a season which hasn't even begun filming will be the last. We have a referenced answer in the article, no crystal ball required. Matt Deres (talk) 03:43, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- I thought it a bit obvious. There is no discussion in the papers about when Disney will completely stop showing Hannah Montana reruns. However, they have made it clear that the following season is the last season. So, we cannot make wild predictions about when the last rerun of Hannah Montana will be broadcast, but we can state that the following season will be the last for new episodes - assuming that Hannah Montana doesn't pull a Family Guy or Futurama return. -- kainaw™ 15:07, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

The last season is only 12 episodes long, and taping begins in January, so it might broadcast May to July 2010, or something like that. EamonnPKeane (talk) 13:59, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- What does "end its run" mean? End of first-run shows? Or the last time Disney Channel ever broadcasts one of those shows? Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots 14:12, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- I think the definition including "first run" is standard; reruns are indefinite, especially with the complications of syndication. I can't see why anyone would ask about how long reruns will be shown; since I Love Lucy is still showing, I would think that the answer there would always be "It will be playing somewhere, sometime, until long after you are dead." Matt Deres (talk) 15:18, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- The real question is when Miley Cyrus will begin the inevitable cocaine-and-sex bender that consumes all Disney starlets once they become of age. (C.f. Lindsey Lohan). --Jayron32 19:55, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
